What a coincidence, I fell a sleep before the end of the Gatti-Branco contest too. I must stress it was in no way due to the boxing taking palce, which I though was first class. Branco much better than I had expected.
BBC must stop cutting rounds out of their coverage, it so frustrating if you want to score a fight.
They should get behind boxing as a sport whole-heartidly, rather than pick it up and dropping it when another sport gets popular with the public. They must know boxing can generate excellent ratings? Ofcourse, boxing doesn't always help itself, but with promotors like Dennis Hobson and Mick Hennessy the BBC can offer the fan, on the whole, good value fights quite often for proper titles.
Whilst I do like the enthusiasm SkySports show towards boxing, sometimes the balance between advertising their boxing and treating all other boxers outside of their scope like they don't exist, could be better.
