klitschko tonight v igbrahimov
ive looked at the record of igbrahimov, i cant see anything on there to remotely worry wladimir, ill eat humble pie tomorrow if i am wrong but i can see klitschko stopping him or winning a UD, igbrahimov has never fought anyone remotely in the class of klitschko, it amazes me that people are seeing this as a 50/50 fight !!!!

If it goes past 6 then its anyones fight, Klitschko is mentally not as strong as he looks, nothing surprises me when it comes to WK!
If he gets stopped it is no big surprise.

I don't know a great deal about Corrie Sanders but wasn't WK supposed to breeze past him too........?rhino222 wrote:ive looked at the record of igbrahimov, i cant see anything on there to remotely worry wladimir, ill eat humble pie tomorrow if i am wrong but i can see klitschko stopping him or winning a UD, igbrahimov has never fought anyone remotely in the class of klitschko, it amazes me that people are seeing this as a 50/50 fight !!!!

but sanders was a notorious big puncher early on and possibly as fast a hands as anyone in the HW division.NorthEastBoxingFan wrote:I don't know a great deal about Corrie Sanders but wasn't WK supposed to breeze past him too........?rhino222 wrote:ive looked at the record of igbrahimov, i cant see anything on there to remotely worry wladimir, ill eat humble pie tomorrow if i am wrong but i can see klitschko stopping him or winning a UD, igbrahimov has never fought anyone remotely in the class of klitschko, it amazes me that people are seeing this as a 50/50 fight !!!!

I'd rather see Chagaev taking the Klitschko assignment, than Ibragimov. Chagaev is good coming forward. Ibragimov has big problems moving forward and committing to attacks. He's good at judging distance, and would have made a terrific cruiser if he was a bit smaller. But I see him hesistating outside for far too long.Phenomenal-Nutrition wrote:Wlad wins easy. Ibragimov doesnt have a big punch, the speed, the defense or the size to trouble Wladdy.
That said, Wlad may not like movement. And stranger things have happened than, say, Ibrag catching him when he's tired. I'd like to see Ibrag do it, but it does seem a bit of a pipe dream.

I think Wlad is very good for the sport iand I hope he dominates for the next few years. He represents a dominant HW Champ, with good skills, that is in great physical shape and actually is athletic. I think Wlad has overcome some of his shotrtcomings that saw him collapse/get ko'd earlier in his career. None of the other contenders bring the same top level package to the table. Most contenders are overweight, short on skills, and cant punch or all of these. Wlad is the Larry Holmes esque saviour of this era.Autobarn wrote:I'd rather see Chagaev taking the Klitschko assignment, than Ibragimov. Chagaev is good coming forward. Chageev doesn't bring the physical package to beat Wlad imo. He has a good punch but not top level power like Peter, Maskeev, Sanders, Brewster. His workrate and speed are okay but nothing to worry Wlad.
I really can't see anyone beating Wladdy for the forseeable future. People tout Povetkin as some second coming but hes not upto scratch and struggled last time out.
I think the best prospect to dethrone Wlad is David Haye if he can transition to HW, which I think he will as a solid ripped 220lber. I dont think anyone else is good enough but maybe theres a prospect or 2 who has slipped under my radar.
BTW I hate Klithugging fans and have often hoped to see either man clocked but he is clearly ahead of the pack
Klitschko for me as well but Sultan may have a surprise up his sleeve. A slow starter, the Russian is a smooth southpaw boxer once he hits his rhythm but then again he isn't fighting Briggs or Holyfield this time. The Ray Austin result for both men stands out like a sore thumb and i cannot believe a decent Boxer like Ibragimov struggled to a draw with that non-entity.
Klitschko TKO11 Ibragimov BUT Wlad can have his heart broken and Sultan is nothing if not resilient.

Will Ferrell has a far better physique IMO..Terry D wrote: A bit like Will Ferrell as well. It would not be the biggest shocker if Wlad gets nailed and stopped by this guy like in the Sanders fight.

Has the Russian got that sort of fight stopping power though? Not from what I have seen of him, he hasn't. Sanders, for all his faults, had a bazooka of a straight left.
I would think it more likely that Wlad might run out of gas and capitulate that way.
Regardless of how the fight goes its always nice to see two relatively skillful heavyweights fight.
