That's a shame but if his heart isn't in it it's better for him to bow out gracefully. His fight with that south african guy he looked terrible. I really like Briggs and would have liked to see him get another title shot.

Ive been lucky enought to meet Briggs and get some tips of him awhile back. I would have like to have seen him fight Green.

I cannot see anywhere he says he is retiring. In fact quite the contrary- wait for Green to have his mandatory, assume he wins make a move to challenge him?

Paul probably thinks he has gone as far as he can in the sport. His health is more important than a belt.

A fight against a hard hitter like Green would do nothing for his health.

Its a shame he's retiring but I feel his best years are behind him anyway, its just a shame he did not get the right oppurtunities earlier in his career, boxing politics held him back

Is it down to motivation? He's seemed to be pissed off in the past through lack of opportunity etc. I thought he beat Adamek in the 2nd bout.

He seems to be quite poor in the stay busy fights yet much better for world titles. The difference in him between say Clavero and Adamek 2 were dramatic.

He has the skill to perhaps beat Danny Green, or at leats make it close. Green does seem a lot fresher though. I think it'd be one hell of a fight.
