If there was one thing you could change in boxing history...what would it be? For me, Muhammad Ali would have retired after his savage third fight with Joe Frazier in Manila in 1975. He might have got away with his Parkinsons' Syndrome if he had.
Another thing (I know I said one, but what the hell): Colin Jones knocking out Milton McCrory in the ninth round of their first fight for the WBC welterweight title in 1983 in Reno. Jones had Milt all over the ring in that ninth round, but couldn't quite pull the trigger. It makes the fight frustrating to watch again.

I would change the outcome of the McClellan vs Benn fight so that he never suffered such sever injuries.

I would change Nazs attitude to training and fighting.

I would change Tysons attitude/training and the fact he got jailed early on.

Ah, but HH, that was the first sporting event where I was really really gutted at the result. Nigel Benn was my hero at the time. I didn't really mind when he lost to Watson, but becuase it was Eubank who gave him a real beating I was gutted, even though I was so young. I don't really mind now, as I can appreciate what great warriors both men were.

Even I'll admit Azumah lost that one

Fenech was like a mini Duran that night, right up to the final bell when he kneed Nelson in the balls!

I'd go for Ali not to have been banned from boxing for 3 and a half years and all the ring fatalities and severe injuries not to happen... also Salvadore Sanchez not to have died in car crash...
Oh yeh, it's more than one but what the heck!....
I'd also make Big Daddy Bunce become a sudden tennis freak and switch to giving his 'expert' opinion on the ins and outs of tennis and crack at every Wimbledon!.... (that should frighten off Cliff Richard too!!!!RESULT!!!)

3 things to change would be...

1- Injuries of any kind to boxers. (Goes without saying I guess)

2- Roger Tillermann.

3- Sven Ottke. Known as the 'Phantom' because he has never been seen outside of Germany.

Bunce must have lost more than 6 pounds. He looked like a super featherweight the other night.

Bennie, You're not wrong. Middleton gave everthing he had when the bell went. His 6 rounder with the much missed Bradley Stone will live in my memory forever. Kevin was a good boxer who would get "stuck-in" as soon as the action started.
