Maybe, although at 26 he needs to keep moving as quick as he is doing.

How about the 21 year old Jorge Linares? Or does WBC champion nulify the possibility of being a "prospect", suppose it depends on prosective what.

don't get me wrong I can see the potential alright but I would not say he shone against Crampton and I think Bendall's better days were behind him.
Obviously he is undergoing the fallout of the ordeal of losing his brother in tragic circumstances, on a daily basis, and he deserves credit for keeping it together. Always looks in absolute tip top condition which bodes well for the future.

Let's just have a look and see what he's up to in 18 months time. He is still very much growing into the pro-game.

thanks for clarifying that ss.....you could argue of course that having won the C'wealth Barker has surpassed Brit level although I think the division is clearly one of the weaker ones right now.......what is he, middle?? to big for Jamie Moore and Mike Jones and the like but too small for Froch and Kessler and co........it could be a lot worse couldn't it.
Still I wouldn't be too pessimistic about his chances, I reckon there's a bloody good work ethic in Barker and a good attitude and that can take you a long way.

As regards Khan I completely agree and hope that he goes all the way and also expect that he will do........not like some of the dings on here who begrudge him success at every single turn.......bloody ridiculous on a forum dedicated to boxing if you ask me but I don't make the rules.

Andy Lee.........not seen him once...........look forward to the day when I do cos everything I have read has been very positive about him. I think there is definitely more there talent-wise, than in say, Duddy, who also courts his fair share of column inches.

Juan Manuel Lopez, Yuri Gamboa, AJ Banal, Roman Gonzalez, Andy Lee, Marcos Rene Maidana, Abner Mare, Kiko Martinez, Ande Berto, Gennady Golovkin, Andre Dirrell.

I also think the Kameda's and Khan still deserve a mention, despite being written off by many.

Abner Mares, Andy Lee, Joe Greene (although missed his performance on the weekend).

If his chin holds up then Khan could be #1.

Linares doesn't count for me, he is beyond the prospect stage - but what a fighter he is.

Looking long and hard at the heavyweight rankings, and you'll be hard pressed to find a top prospect , 31 year old Alexander Ustinov might do something , ex MMA and kickboxer.

I'm not sure on Berto, he looks the part coming forward and when he's in control, and he will be a contender, but i have a feeling if he does win a title it won't be a long reign
