Nice one! :TU:

I'll def be going to the metrocentre one! But im not too impressed with the message on the website that says due to time constraints all the books will be pre signed but you can meet him if you buy one in the store.

What the hell is a plate signature?!

This is what the website says -

"Fans will be able to meet Evander, and books purchased from the store on the day will contain a special signed limited edition bookplate"

cue 95 boxrec pics of boxreccers with their "unique" poses of their delirious selves stood next to an Evander Holyfield displaying various stages of boredom!!

well I'm up for that.....!

i couldn't open the thing up by i may just pop to the Metrocentre for a nosey as I'll no doubt be adding it to the collection at some point.

What is one supposed to say (no I ain't just turned into Eubank by the way)......hello Evander, how are you finding obtaining reading glasses that fit these days, since "the accident".......Had an accident or injury at work in the last 9 years that WASN'T your fault??

see what I mean it's awkward, so I'll just go along and stare and be f*cking thankful that I'll never have to fight him I think.

i don't personally think it's a problem about the lack of autograph or whatever.....at the end of the day if it causes him difficulty I ain't gonna moan about it.
Wonder just how many of these things they think they're gonna shift.....boxing's a minority sport but I imagine it will hit the hundreds at every location cos crowds just snowball by their nature.
It sounds like a genuine condition to me.

What are the injuries? If he cannot sign his name, then surely he shouldn't be medically allowed to fight?

So let me get this straight, Holyfield can't even sign his signature anymore yet they still licence him to fight? :-? :-? :o

The mind boggles.

It won't just be one autograph though will it. He would be there for hours signing at the three events. Even if it is slightly hurt, signing hundreds of books will only worsen the problem.

In case anyone is interested Joe Egan will also be appearing at Waterstone's in April.

I reckon it's even money that Tyson's name pops up during Evander's time on Soccer AM.

Dare I suggest it will be fascinating to see how Helen Chamberlain and Andy whathisface handle Holyfield...

Although not as volatile as Tyson he has been known to come out with some crazy shit in his time. I'll be setting Sky+ in case I haven't woken up in time!

Again! Christ, Old Joe's got a lot of mileage out of that book, and his time with Tyson. Fair play to him though, why not. The same guy who published the Magri book published Joe's effort.
