Greg Richardson--how good was he?

IMO he was one of the best challengers around at the time. He was a fighter I watched with interest. I thought he'd do better than he did against fenech but Jeff was a great fighter who often gets overlooked these days.

The Flea was a quality boxer. He lost the plot against Fenech, weighing in UNDER the bantamweight limit for a world title fight at super-bantamweight.

Hell of a boxer....and his losses to Fenech and Sung Kil Moon.....were simply losing to two of the best guys at their respected weight classes - No shame in either of those losses.......As very few beat either of those men at their weights...in their primes.....

I saw the Flea on USA Network a couple of times. Very fast and a great jab. Ron Cisneros dropped him with a monster overhand right but Richardson got off the deck and easily won. In the other he completely outboxed two time Olympian Robert Shannon for a USBA title defense.
