With the rise of white collar boxing, do you think there is a place in professional boxing for boxing novices (who can pass the boxing medical of course) to fight and learn their trade in the pro rings?
Have a seperate rankings for these novice pros - as long as they can fight each other over either 4 rounds or 6 rounds and if they are deemed to be able to fight to a certain standard then promote them into the British rankings.
A lot of guys for whatever reason don't get to fight as an amateur in their youth but I think this is a good idea for guys who take up the sport in their later years (Payney!
It would be good for boxing as a lot of these guys will bring support and buy tickets thus bringing more exposure to boxing.
There would be more shows.
Boxing might unearth some hidden gems.
What do you think?
