Froch v Inkin ..amateur fight video

In between cooking me mum's dinner yesterday and changing my break pads i got time to upload and convert this fight.

Due to the size of it,( several Gig) i have used just round 4 which has the knockdown.

Thanks for that, interesting to see the amateur footage, though it seems to skip over the knockdown punch?

I've reckoned Inkin to be bit chinny for a few years now, and I reckon an on form Froch will find him out. Has to be careful though, as Inkin is class, and dangerous all the same.

I really think Froch will win, provided he boxes on the outside. Veit was having lots of success on the outside, but when Inkin came close Veit was overpowered.

Inkin went over against Martin Abel Bruer in the 2nd but it was a flash knockdown and still went on to win 117-110

He is a busy-body when he gets up to full speed and can land several shots in clusters which seem to wear people out, rather than be a one-shot KO artist.

I think the key to this is Froch's footwork and his power. He needs to keep the fight 360 in the centre, rather than a 180 fight on the ropes.

Froch's knee should be better after the hot weather training in Tenerife as i know he couldn't run prior to the Reid fight as he wasn't allowed too really.

inkin was handling froch fine there really.

was it even a proper knockdown?

never really seen it with froch.

he's a good fighter.

but too disjointed to ever beat the very best i think.

Inkin looked too compact and well schooled in that ama fight. He seemed to be controlling the action. Hope this is not the case on March 29.

If Inkin has a good right hand and can time It well, Froch Is In trouble.

Reid's ones which weren't as good as they used to be had Froch off balance In his stance.

That was more to do with Inkin being square on ... check his feet as the right upper-cut slips under.

That said .. the same punch has been much more polished and refined by Froch .. who will throw it with alot more weight behind it rather than just the arm punch it seemed to be there.

Though as stated in the beginning .. that was a very early Carl Froch ... a million miles away from the version we have now

To me

Inkins seems to be a slightly better Brian Magee. And although boxing wise Mage gave Froch lots of probs, Frochs gameplan seemed to work out perfectly, and thats the way I see this fight going.

Inkin might outbox Froch but Froch will get him in the later rounds with heavy punches.

Interesting insight:

Froch was very quiet in the build up to the magee fight, and he is very quiet in the build up to this one.

Froch snapped his thumb in the 2nd round against Magee, who was a very game.

A great night at York hall that was.

Im going to see Magee this Friday on the Maritnez card.
