Richie Woodhall makes a good point when saying the deciding factor of the bout could be on who is able to take a punch better, rather than just dishing the punishment out.

I also worry about the weight-making for Haye. Ok, I have no doubt he'll make the weight, but what sacrifices has he made to make 200lbs? I just hope he is strong & has enough to win.

It's clear Haye will not be 100%. David campaigning at Cruiser means he'll not be 100% bang on.

I wonder if Maccarrinelli's team really think Haye will be weak at the weight & struggle quite a lot to make 14st 4lbs? Are they really banking on that?

Cannot wait. Not long to go now! Come on David!

Just started watching that countdown program there, when was that on mate, i didnt have a clue about it!

I still think this ones gonna end early, hopefully for Haye, but should be a cracker however long it lasts.

A well schooled boxer with real KO power, one of the most exciting people to watch in world boxing, a decent bloke, and most importantly, the true world cruiserweight champion.

Come on Haye!!!

i favour haye and relatively early.

but it's one of those where u never know.

I tend to agree and think Haye could get Enzo out of there inside three, simply because Enzo has always been bit too upright, static and easy to hit for my liking. I also think Haye is better prepared mentally, having faced tougher guys and tougher situations.
Enzo's been cleverly matched and I don't think he'll have ever experienced the like of Haye's power before - Braithwaite's the closest and he's not in the same league.
Having said all of that, if it goes into the later rounds Enzo's stamina could prove to be the difference and the beauty of this fight (and the reason I can't wait for it), is that one punch from either guy could make all our speculation irrelevant.

I thought Enzo was particularly impressive versus Braithwaite but I'll admit I've not really seen much apart from that apart from farces versus Gunn and Azzouzi and we didn't learn a thing really from Hobson 2......or did we??

now Hate on the other hand has come dreadfully unstuck versus teak tough Thompson (no disgrace)....he was busted up when Fragomeni came on strongly and if I recall looked to me seconds away from being stopped on a cut at times........and versus Mormeck (although I tipped the Haye win)..I think a lot of Haye fans are conveniently ignoring the fact Haye looked like he was about to be stopped in round 4.

I think David Haye is a likeable fella and a good boxer with super power but he is far from the finished article, world champ or not.

That's why I'm sticking with Enzo as I have been from the word go (even though he probably did seem a bit of a tit on TV for Haye Mormeck) - that and the Enzo Calzaghe factor.

I think it's effectively the same point point by Richie Woodhall but phrased differently.....who can AVOID a punch will be most crucial and from what I seen Haye is very taggable.

All that and I haven't even brought my stamina reservations about Haye into it.

OK right hand himself but a backer upper.

How do you lose that much ground while fighting Mormeck, considering Haye had all the physicals.

Nice footage, mate! Newbridge boxing club is currently buzzing. There's no praise high enough for Enzo Calzaghe. Is he just a one-man show, or are there other people who help out with training duties? After all, for one guy to give his attention to all those guys takes some doing!

What's the name of the resistance equipment Pryce & Rees use when they are shadow boxing? Whatever the eqipment is, it looks like it's fixed to the wall behind them?

Imagine you were in that gym! If you could not get motivated to train with others like them around you, then you'll never be able to get motivated!

Nearly everyone on these boards are saying that Haye will walk this fight but what I see is a guy who is easy to tag and a man who has a rocket punch...I can see Maccarinelli knocking out Haye...but I think it will be a hell of a fight!

He's not a runner. You may have only seen one of his fights. Haye dislikes fighting crouch fighters that can slip under his jab, who cover up well an dgive no target. This is why he had to give ground before he got his jab going. When JMM had him on the ropes Haye kept his chin behind his shoulder and stepped off to the sides. Despite the knockdown and another bad round he didn't take that many flush.

The right hook to the body isn't a typical punch of his. This was to break Mormeck down bit by bit. If he does this vs Macca he will eat left hooks to the face if he isn't fast enough on the trigger.

Haye likes fighting tall fighters with high up chins, like Alexander Gurov who was regarded as a top 10 cruiser and who Haye stopped in 1 round a year or two ago. Fights like that he prefers to hold the centre of the ring.

Enzo actually is more prone to backing up in straight lines. He did this a lot with Braithwaite which had some ppl worried, but he drew "Big Truck" onto some good counter left hooks, the shots that hurt the Guyanese most.
