Steve Spartacus

Post by stujones »

Lost to a fighter with a 50% win record coming into this bout. From the one round I saw of it he looked vunerable and lethargic, does anybody know if he was 100% going into the fight, he seemed ill. Not making any excuses, if he's ill he shouldn't fight. He was very poor and if he was fully prepared then he's not going much further.

I think McKenzie might KO him next time, McKenzie deserve a fight for the English title against him now.

He had two weeks to prepare for the fight and I think he may have taken this kid too lightly. He was lethargic and found wanting that night.
Maybe a lesson learned the hard way ? immeadiate rematch should settle the matter.

Spartacus needs to give this guy an English title rematch. Otherwise, he just can't call himself champ. Terrific win for McKenzie. Where's he been hiding?

as i said before the fight Ovill can have a row.... he may have been 3-3 going in but look who he has fought...all decent fighters.

Spartacus took defeat like a man, but however much notice he had, expect Ovill to have had half that.

The end of the third round Spartacus was in a bit of bother on the ropes shipping shots... the bell came at just the right time. He wasnt wobbly but hadnt thrown for a long time and the ref was having a look.

Not sure that Ovill, born in Jamaica, can fight for the English title...
