Not a bad night's boxing. A very vocal crowd for the Eastern European fights early on!

Colin Lynes was impressive. Will do a full report on BritishBoxing.net but having trouble with the news admin side of the website at the moment!

bennie, whats the chances of Wallace fighting for it instead of Yelland, or might Yelland still go for it ??

I think Wallace is a Yorkshireman, so he won't be eligible. Yelland may still get a crack.

Brumant had been in the gym training well for this return fight. Bet Lomax ran all night and stunk the joint out.

It was a good fight, farcical in places. Brumant knocked Lomax down in the first, and then threw him down with a good piece of wrestling later in the round, and was docked a point by ref Billy Aird, he then done a wanker sign to the crowd..

Lomax did run for a while, but Brumant didn't let him off the hook and kept steaming in, he was warned a few times for trying to throw and also for use of the head. Lomax was also warned for use of head and a low punch towards the end of the five.

I wouldn't have been surprised if the ref had called it a draw. Brumant worked hard enough to merit it in my opinion.

Glad to hear Steve performed well. I guess against a prospect such as Lomax, a draw was always going to be a hard call to get.
