How good was Irish-born heavyweight Pat Redmond? I've read he emigrated in 1925 and took up boxing in Australia. Also, does a photo exist of him?

After two unsuccessful attempts at Georg Thompson's Australian title he moved to New York in 1930 with mixed success. I have not heard anyone speak of him. He was also known as Dick McRedmond.

I seem to remember reading something about Pat's fight with Primo Carnera at Ebbets Field, Brooklyn in 1931. Pat was introduced as being Irish, to the cheers of the New York Irish crowd. After Primo cleaned him up in the first, the ring announcer said something like "Sorry about that. Pat is actually Australian."
