Barnes v Bami On or Off?
Sky still have this fight listed as one they are showing next Friday, but it doesn't seem to be on any other schedules. Is this fight happening or not?

Is this fight for the British title? As Lynes is still listed as the British champion at the BBBofC site.

Brixton barber Ted Bami looks to trim Manchester's David Barnes for the vacant British light-welterweight title (made vacant by European champ Colin Lynes) later this month.
Bami has boxed only once in the last 12 months, after going through a divorce, and laboured to outscore Frenchman Nicolas Guisset at Dagenham in January, although he will undoubtedly be sharper for the eight-rounder. His personal problems came at a bad time - just after he had won (and defended) the coveted European title against slippery Italian Giuseppe Lauri (he relinquished). But the Congo-born Londoner is on a winning run of 10 since a surprise three-round defeat to South Africa's Samuel Malinga back in 2003 and this is a chance to catch up. Presumably he needs the money.
Sharp-boxing Barnes will not be a pushover. The 27-year-old southpaw, three years the younger man, has already won a British title up at welterweight (indeed, he won a Lonsdale Belt outright and stopped current champ Kevin McIntyre in doing so), where he later suffered an inexplicable blip and was hammered in 12 rounds by Ghana's unheralded Joshua Okine in Manchester in June 2005 (sadly) on the high-profile Hatton-Tszyu bill. That one came after a draw with Ali Nuumbembe. They remain the only blemishes on his 24-fight record, and while he insists he can make light-welterweight, Barnes has weighed well over the 10st mark for his five wins since Okine.
Ironically, Bami has also boxed plenty at welterweight (he holds a stoppage win over Bradley Pryce) but dropped down some years ago and is obviously strong at the weight. In 25 fights, only Polish welter Jacek Bielski and the useful Malinga (cousin of Sugarboy) have beaten him. Ideally, Bami would have indulged in a couple more fights prior to this but he represents the first test of Barnes' championship ability - and his chin - since the Okine disaster; the first test of Barnes' ability to make the weight.
This has all the makings of an intriguing fight. Both men are stocky, quick, talented and hurtful, and the British title is always a massive incentive. But Bami is proven at the weight, as well as the house fighter on a Matchroom promotion, and it gives him the edge.
