Time to Focus Danny
Time to Focus Danny
It seems at present Dany perhaps troubling himself a bit too much with responses to Mundine And Fenech. The whole thing is a bit soap opera like and not sure its good for boxing even if it gets some media attention.
Most importantly i hope it does not distract Danny.
With regards to Mundine I reckon its about the only thing he is living off at present(with regards to achievements in winning real fights)and no doubt figures if he can keep the fire going enjoy another big payday(and quite likely another win unless weight was a serious issue for Danny last time round).
As for Jeff well im sure its sour grapes coz he got dumped but come on Jeff. How about supporting Green?Seems despite being a great fighter Jeff is still a sook.
Think Green should just try shut it all out and not bother with responses anymore, focus on his title defence and all going to plan perhaps unifying the belts.
With regards to Greens response to Fenech does seem to be some truth to what he was saying.Cant say myself ive actually heard Jeff say too much constructive in the corner during fights except go out and bash him!
Come on Greeny!!!

I don't think it will seriously distract Danny. This has been brewing for a while now, its good to get it over and done with (I hope). Weight drain was IMO part of the reason that Danny lost to Mundine, but the result is the result.
I heard that Danny didn't dump Jeff, that at the time it was a mutual choice to part ways, because Jeff was spending so much time with Tyson. But who really knows?
But you are correct, Danny has to focus. He has got a big fight on his hands with Garay. It will test him and see where he stands in the division.

You have a point but I'm sure Danny is focused and as long as he is in the public eye (which he has to be to promote his fight) he will have to field questions about Mundine / Fenech. If he stops answering questions the media might stop giving him coverage and that is the last thing a professional boxer needs...
I guess your righht-coverage is coverage and knowing thhe media will always ask hime something about Mundine +/- Fenech then he has to answer.Sure he is professional enough to not let him distract him.
Journos stop asking stupid questions-ye gods man they would be out of a job.The quality of commercial Aussie journalism.Bronze medal to only UK and the US journos. What a job.dont like what answers you get just make up and answer......tossers.
Go Greeny

I was pretty impressed with Greeny in the last few interviews he has done. Although he did address the Mundine issue because he was asked about it, he immediately stated that he didnt have Mundine on his radar at the moment as he had bigger fish to fry in the Light Heavywight division. He basically told Mundine to get on with his own career and stop worrying about Greeny's. I can't remember too many fights at Challenge stadium where Greeny has come into it and not been focussed on the job at hand. Lets hope Greeny does the job on Garay and looks at a unification bout. Who knows what is possible after the big light heavyweights bouts on April 13th.
I keep forgetting. Some countries have news media. We have crap.JSA wrote:I guess your righht-coverage is coverage and knowing thhe media will always ask hime something about Mundine +/- Fenech then he has to answer.Sure he is professional enough to not let him distract him.

It will be an interesting 8 weeks.if Green does get up i wonder what results from the April12 cards would be,possibly,in his best interests.Would think that Woods might give him a go,Johnsons always seemed to be prepared to travel(and how i hope he beats tarver)Then there is always Erdei. As always time will tell-just hope all his remaining fights will be worthy ones(opponent wise).
sure everyone is right re his focus. Initial post probably more a statement of disappointment about Fenech albeit in a round about way.Guess he is entitled to his opinion of course but just irks me a bit.
March and April going to be good months and could set up some great mid/late year matchups.
