Fair enough I was just asking as I know certain "Northern Irish" wouldnt fight for a British title.

Yeah I know what you mean, same goes the other way to when it comes to Irish titles but Eastside boxer foght for anything, normally peanuts or parking spaces outside the gym lol.

Yes I'd like to see Rogan and Belshaw get it on - from what I understand there is no love lost between the Holy Trinity and Eastside boxers.

Not 100%, I think alot of it is a misconception by some. The coaches, trainers, and commitee members all have fairly good relationships, as we try to keep politics out of boxing as much as possible. There are certian boxers AMA and Pro over the years that have held personal grievences but these are confined to the ring.

I personally get on with all clubs and coaches and have no issues traveling to their clubs etc for events. Though there are a few referees I'd love to .............. lol

Rogan vs Belshaw would be a great fight, mainly due to the atmosphere the press has created around it already, I reckon you could probably put it on in the Kings Hall and get a full house (if the undercard was decent enough). Most of the windups on youtube and message boards etc about Rogan and Belshaw are posted by other fighters and its only talk and a wee wind up not to be taken seriously.

Wasnt a 'sudden' knee injury, I see it happen & he battled though it because he needed to fight for £ aswell as his career, but he made it even worse and he had no option.

Possibly because he has ONE result on his card and that is that "win" over Michael Gomez - and only god amd Gomez himself really knows what happened that night.

Also after getting the irish title McDonagh failed to do anything with that and fought Nesbitt, Taylor and Cottier (with meaning any disrespect to those fighters but they are no marks!) instead of fighting Fagan, McCloskey, Haughian, Murray, Winters even our own Jeff THomas or look for a rematch with GOmez to quash the rumours!

I didnt mean ill will between Eastside and HT clubs I meant "the Eastside and HT boxers" as in Rogan and Belshaw personally.

I saw the youtube stuff - I thought it was funny - I also thought that it was you that was behind it!

no doubt - also like the good subject that he is he held the Commonwealth (or as I like to call in "British Empire") Light Welter title for ages. God save our gracious Queen, long live our noble.................and so on and so forth!

Got to say a boy from the Ardoyne fighting for the Birtish title was something I never thought I would see.

Money is a hugley motivating factor.

Holding the Irish title would be a great marketing tool for Belshaw when he finally makes his US debut. As Duddy has demonstrated, Irish connections can take you far on the American East coast..

Yeah your right on the boxer front, I have missunderstood your first post.

The youtube replies under gkt999 are mine yeah, there has been a few other comments that I have removed completely, and some sh1t on a few local forums but all really in jest.

McDonagh was willing to have a rematch with Gomaz, infact he wanted one but it was Gomez's people who insisted that the rematch be at superfeather, McDonagh is no superfeather, also many had McDonagh the winner when he boxed David Burke. It was either box Nesbitt, Taylor and Cottier or be inactive, it was the only fights offered to him, the point is being missed anyway, its being implyied that McDonagh was/is running scared of certain fighters, not who he has boxed since the Gomez win. Look at McDonaghs record, no matter what you say one thing you cant say is that he has ever run scared of anyone, he didn't run scared of David Burke having only a weeks notice as one example
