Peter- Maskaev on TV?

Post by deadpan »

It's this weekend. Any chance of seeing it anywhere? Are sky due to make a late bid?

That would be sweet. Albeit unlikely. It'll certainly be more fun that Wlad-Sultan.

SKY have done the same as with marques v Vasquez and bid was below asking price.

That said, DKN are taking the piss with the asking price.

What would the price be for a week delay?

I think everyone's put off post Klitschko-Ibragimov, by the heavyweights.

Hard to say, as it varies.

You usually look at around a 75% reduction apparently, but it depends on whether it's already been seen in the UK and what the initial contract stated (some include unlimited views and others stipulate how many repeat viewings you can have).

I'll try and find out the asking price.

We pay enough on petrol (to satisfy the green brigade!!) and on mortgages (to satisfy the Estate Agents!) in this country. Why not treat yourself to something for free and buy a motorised satellite dish? 350 quid wwould be a good investment for all your boxing for free. I'll be watching all the action live from O2 and Cancun including undercards but not on Setanta!

Regards.

I'd love to find out more about that as well! Would you be able to pick up terrestrial Irish TV as well?

Finally I am intrigued to find out how an Estate Agents get a portion of your mortgage!

It gets worse:

In an unusual occurrence, Jose Luis Castillo was invited by WBC President Jose Sulaiman to step to the scales after the heavyweights in advance of Friday's official weigh in for the lower-weight fighters. He tipped the Toledos at 147.5 pounds and will need to make 140 pounds by Friday's weigh in to qualify for the scheduled WBC super lightweight eliminator against undefeated WBC No. 1-ranked contender Timothy 'Desert Storm' Bradley.

Maplin one looks alright although dish might be a bit small, 80cm would be better. German channels RTL, Das Erste and ZDF show top world title boxing matches almost every weekend live and free to air all on one satellite, Astra at 19 degrees east. If you want to get more adventurous you could get a motor and start looking at other satellites or picking up feeds. RTL are showing Maskaev - Peter live on Saturday.

Is RTL free to air? Can't pick it up at the moment, only RTL2, plus good ol ARD and ZDF - there's a German bill on Sat night on one of those as well.
I've just got a static dish, pointing at Astra - pretty good all the same.

Perhaps if you invested in a larger dish and pointed it further to the west. I don't know what the frequency range is on Sky Digital receivers.
