Anyone else think HAYE was taking the piss with this 'I can not make the weight'?

Masterful!

I think he basically fooled FWANK!

2lbs under the weight? Haye just trained properly for this fight!

Haye looked in great condition - Enzo looked fleshy.

On fight night Haye will weigh 15st 10lbs approx, Good night, Enzo!

His weight issues were always self-inflicted due to his love of the weights.
remember he was 81kg fighter in 2000 (I think) then moved up to 91kg and was only mid 80s when he lost to solis i think. Granted he has got older but he wouldnt have gained that kind of weight without doing some serious lifting and protein eating

He trained properly!

As Knockout said - he dropped the bulking stuff and trained like a fighter!

He will still weigh much more than Enzo on the night - but he trained the right way, imo.

Thats what a fighter should ALWAYS do!

Just like (S)Hatton against Castillo - keep the weight down pre fight and do the weight the roght way!

There is no reason for Haye to walk around at 16st other than he lets himself getup there, imo.

Maybe - if it's true - this kind of smart manouvreing will help smart, ambitious boxing people overtake experienced old timers like Warren.

Now the doubts may be setting in for Enzo Macca.

I like this. Haye has obviously not killed himself to get down to the weight, which means he should be in top form tomorrow. It also means that Enzo will get due credit should he win. Can't wait!

indeed. its so refreshing to see a SN opponent show total distain for frankie's regime. LOL at drinking the smoothie in front of Warren. I don't want to jinx anything but Haye could do this quick.

My only worry is that he may be overconfident. He might think he has learned from the thompson fight but it only takes a second of carelessness.

I think enzo will be nervy in there...

I need to see weigh in pics, but there are none anywhere?

Not really sure of the significance... so what he "fooled" Frank - all that means that it wasn't due to him being weight drained that he could only manage 32 punches a session and nearly got KTFO vs Mormeck.

I just now hope that the people how basically lambasted Warren and Enzo Maccarinelli and described this "not a serious fight" and would not consider Maccarinelli a proper champion even if he beats Haye - cause he is so dead at the weight. Well, I hope these posters will now retract those comments.

Had a look at the Haye-Mormeck weigh in and the Haye=Enzo weigh in..... doesnt look to be too much difference...

I hope Booth is right. Haye is definitely tight at the weight. Hopefully he is strong once rehydrated.

How will Enzo feel if he finds he's in a fight where the handicapping doesn't count for shit?

Haye said on BBC delayed taping show of the Hatton v Mayweather fight that he kept himself around the weight in case a fight could be made with Enzo.

Why the hostility towards Enzo? .. Enzo wants Haye in top condition, that way he gets top credit.

The weight was made too much of an issue anyway, almost all top fighters outside the heavyweight division struggle to get to fight weight.
Its the modern way of thinking to get some kind of advantage.

Maybe Haye did fool Warren .. maybe Haye has messed his weight up and come in too light .. I`m thinking his last fight was more important so why not do the weight as he did then?

Its still a 50/50 fight.

I lean towards Haye simply because he is faster ..
But what if Enzo keeps it tight and is able to absorb the ones that get through? .. Haye`s power is v-good .. but he is no early Tyson

Enzo will be fitter and more prepared for the distance .. Haye won`t last the course as well...

Haye must be one of the hardest punchers ever at cruiserweight though. Alongside Holyfield and Juan Carlos Gomez. I'd say Haye - who fought in the division before and after the limit went up to 200-lbs - is the bigger single punch hitter.

Totally right Stu. I realise a lot of people don't like Warren, but I feel Enzo was getting some undue stick for this fight. "he's only doing it because he knows Haye is a corpse at the weight", etc. It seemed like excuses were being made from the second the fight was announced. There really isn't the massive gulf in class here that some people are making out. Haye is rightly ranked above Maccarinelli, but this is two well matched fighters going at it. I like both guys, and don't really care who wins. I just hope the winner gets due credit: Haye for beating a dangerous opponent, Enzo for beating the best in world, not some emaciated version of the best in the world.
