Record for Michaelangelo Lynks
Hello :) Thank you for your corrections. There are still some mistakes, though. My fight with Juan Gomez is not listed(6th. round win by decision in Cabo san Lucas,Mx. Oct 27th. 2001). My name is Michaelangelo not Michalengelo. I should be listed as a junior-lightweight. All of my fights have been at 130lbs., with the exception of the following: 2002-01-31(126lbs.) 2001-03-25(135lbs.) 2000-12-29(148lbs.) 2000-11-30(135lbs). Hope this helps. Thanks again! :)

Hello Mike R. Thanks for your help :) I was born in Chicago,Illinois. I fight out of Freddie Roach's Wild Card Gym in Hollywood,Ca. I went through arbitration and got out of that ragedy management deal I was in.
So, I'm a free agent. If you know of any honest
managers out there give me a holler. I fight orthodox. Oh, I'm 5'9 :)

I was going to suggest a nickname that made reference to Michelangelo's David sculpture ("Hands of Stone" or something highly original like that ;)), but I guess with that KO ratio it might not be a good idea.Michaelangelo wrote:Hello John

Anyway, good luck with your career! Hope to see you on TV one of these days.
p.s.: Since you train at Wildcard - any word on James Toney? How's he doing?

You know I do alot of sparring with welterweights and even they say I hit pretty hard. I guess I do have a tendancy to have a guy hurt and instead of finishing him off I "admire my work"Eric the Viking wrote:I was going to suggest a nickname that made reference to Michelangelo's David sculpture ("Hands of Stone" or something highly original like that ;)), but I guess with that KO ratio it might not be a good idea.Michaelangelo wrote:Hello John

P.S.James' surgery went great! The docter said that since it tore clean it was easier to fix. He should be back in the summer.

Hiya, Michaelangelo:

Re. potential nicknames, I was thinking that involves the word "Canvas", as in painting one or putting a guy down on one. The problem is, how do keep it both short and still make it clear that it's the OTHER guy that's supposed to be tasting the canvas. I mean, if you were to go as Michaelangelo "The Canvas Man" Lynks, then the first time you got KDed or KOed after that, you'd never live it down.
I guess "The Painter" is as good as anything we've come up with, but to me it sounds better in Spanish: "El Pintor". Hey, you're based in California, so why not do it in Spanish? Might be a good way to get some of the Latino folks to root for you, to boot.
Try it - Imagine you're fighting for the championship, and Michael Buffer is introducing you:
...Michaelangelo "El Pintooooooooooooooooooorrrrrr" Lynks .... Lynks!!!
Ah, that sounds like a classic case of Sven Ottke Syndrome to me. Everyone assumes he's totally feather-fisted, then Mundine mouths off and gets him riled, and WHAM! ;)Michaelangelo wrote:You know I do alot of sparring with welterweights and even they say I hit pretty hard. Glad to hear it. Now we just need to find some way to get James himself to pay us a visit.P.S.James' surgery went great! The docter said that since it tore clean it was easier to fix. He should be back in the summer.

You know I kind of like "El Pintor". Do you know if anyone who wasn't Spanish ever used a Spanish nickname?Eric the Viking wrote:Hiya, Michaelangelo:

Does have a nice ring to it, don't it?Michaelangelo wrote:You know I kind of like "El Pintor". Do you know if anyone who wasn't Spanish ever used a Spanish nickname?
I seem to recall seeing at least of couple of guys (both African-American) with Spanish nicks, but can't recall either of their names. (And maybe their mom was Latino, or something.) Even if not, you could be the first.

I wonder if having a Spanish girlfriend counts.Eric the Viking wrote:[
