Their server may be overloaded for Prem games, but not for boxing, hence the ping issues.bigdave82 wrote:I have been trying for over a year to get Sky to fix my line so I can pick up Box Office, Setanta etc but to no avail.
So in desperation I signed up to Setanta by broadband and it's incredibly erratic. Saturday football at 17:15 is totally unwatchable as the picture rebuffers every 2 seconds or just goes completely blank.
Yet Ive had no problems with the am shows like Latin Fury or Taylor-Pavlik. Chagaev-Skelton was fine too.
I'll just pray it holds together for Saturday night.
Anyone else watch Setanta on the computer?
Setanta problems?

I'm thinking of getting it on computer and watching the fight at 8:00 am the next morning (so shouldn't have any live broadcast issues), problem is that the web site might have the result all over it. Any advice?bigdave82 wrote:I have been trying for over a year to get Sky to fix my line so I can pick up Box Office, Setanta etc but to no avail.

Same here. Sky are bad enough to deal with, not interested in another headache dealing with Sentanta after reading some of the comments on this thread.
Looks like Radio 5 for me too

My Setanta's fooked now! I'm a Sky digital customer. I thought it was a Sky (dish) problem, but I've just heard from a mate who's on cable and he's lost Setanta too. I can't get through to Customer Service - not that it would make any difference. I've had Setanta since Hatton-Castillo last summer and this is the first time I've had a problem. And what a time for it to happen - the schedule from now until the end of April is unmissable.
Thanks. Better than nothing, but still pissed off, especially when I've paid for it.THEBUTCH wrote:02:00am BBC RADIO 5 live Boxing

They've announced they will show all upcoming fights on freeview as well, switching to another freeview channel ( the next one along I think ) at 3am..WildWaylon wrote:Setanta via cable is fine. Freeview boxes and Sky dishes are too hit and miss. I understand Setanta on freeview boxes after 3am doesnt work.
My sat is ok right now, but with a big storm coming tonight it could be lights out for a lot of us...anyone post an on line address for a live stream of the fight, in case my dish goes tits up??

It's on Setanta Ireland now - build-up right up to and including big fight!GreedyG wrote:My Setanta via the Sky box has always been fine no problems.
Until today - it decided to go off this afternoon and says "no signal received".
Setanta Ireland is fine so hopefully they'll stick to their word. Missing the build up though.
