 How Is he a club fighter after getting caught by a fast right hand?

They don't all loe after stepping up from WBO challenges though, It was more Haye's physical advantage and right hand that won It.

He was outclassed from start to finish. He looked the same way Bobby Gunn looked against Macc.

Macc belongs with the Hobsons and Gunns and 40 yr old Dominguez WBO types... that is his level. David Haye showed the difference in class.

Danny Williams's perspective on Haye as a heavyweight.

Former British heavyweight Danny Williams has backed David Haye to emulate Lennox Lewis and become a British world heavyweight champion after his stunning weekend win over Enzo Maccarinelli.

Williams - who once beat Mike Tyson andwho lost his own world title bid to Vitali Klitschko in 2004 - was hugely impressed with Haye's second round win and believes his fellow Londoner will become the hardest puncher in the sport.

The next British hope: Haye made quick work of Maccarinelli and can move on to bigger and better things

Haye makes quick work of Maccarinelli

Williams said: "Once David has put on the extra weight he will be punching even harder than Wladimir Klitschko. I've sparred with him a million times and I have hardly ever been hit so hard.

"I was immensely impressed and I can see this move up to heavyweight as the start of the next big thing for British boxing. I'd put him in with any of the champions tomorrow and I think he'd beat them all."

Haye's decision to relinquish his three cruiserweight belts and move up has already placed him among a group of promising young heavyweights hoping to get a splintered division back on track.

Young pretenders like Chazz Witherspoon hold American hopes in their hands while the next generation of former Soviet stars to emerge include Alexander Povetkin and the big-punching Denis Boytsov.

Haye is now expected to take at least six months off to bulk up into a natural heavyweight, and Williams - who is currently negotiating a Royal Albert Hall clash with James Toney - cannot wait.

"David's level of improvement has been colossal and every time you see him he looks even better," Williams added. "People question his chin but I've hit it often enough in sparring and he hasn't gone anywhere."

After reading Williams' comments on Haye, anyone else think Danny is trying to put himself amongst the mix to take on Haye?

I doubt Haye-Williams would happen as David has stated he won't go through the british scene, just go straight into fighting a HW in the top 10.

So Williams is the foremost authority on the Heavyweight division?

He always has something to say. How about channeling some of that energy into training and coming into fights in half decent shape?

Enzo was scared going to the ring.

At least he was paid well.

Enzo, next time pm me and I will tell you a BAD BOY tune to play into the ring.

WTF 'I won't back down'?

Maybe LL CooJ 'Mama said knock you out'? or 'Strong Island'?

BOYO!

Now we know why the Fwankster wanted him in the ring last, if he waited for Haye he would have fainted with nerves and NO FIGHT!

Good quip but I'd say someone who's shared the ring with Tyson, Vitali and just about every top-level domestic HW is worth heeding.
