Herbie Hide vs Rudiger May on British Eurosport tonight!

Post by el_grande_mauro_mina »

Get in!

Hide should KO May in around 4 rounds... May is a good boxer but with little pop in his punches but it should be entertaining all the same!

Come on Herbie! :box:

I've got it on telewest cable, if you have a dish you should have it on freeview. I think the majority of freeview packages have Eurosport. I could get Eurosport even out in Russia. (Where they showed mad sports like ice track bike racing) :o

It does make me chuckle when Herbie made his latest comeback - no one gave him a chance.

With David Haye moving up to Heavyweight and the Cruiserweight divsion wide open yet again - who knows??

And how about this - Anyone for

Hide v Maccarinelli for the vacant WBO or WBC titles??

I'll be interested to know what he thinks about Haye - Macca so hopefully they will interview him after the fight. There are some good fights for Herbie out there at the moment, pretty winnable ones aswell including Macca for a vacant title. The level at which they are competing is pretty similar.

Funny how the weak chinned nut box garners such interest. I actually think people might start taking this comeback seriously over the next couple of months, and I am pretty confident Herbie will end the year as a cruiserweight champion - this time next year we'll be discussing him going back to heavyweight.

Hide vs. Enzo is a must if Hide keeps winning and avoids getting hit on the chin.

He should get past May tonight but May does possess a very, very good jab when he decides to use it. May has the physical tools to mess Hide about and frustrate him. It's just whether he's got the confidence to carry it out for round after round. I'm not sure he does...

WTF? Since his comeback all he's gone on about is how his career at heavyweight wasn't necessary, as he made 200lb easy. :-?

Hide is on a good winning streak and i see no reason why May will upset the applecart tonight. Hide will stop him in side 6 rounds IMO May is cagey and experienced enough to get that far at least.

Is Solis on the bill? I know he only fought in Italy recently but they did say they wanted to keep him busy to get fitter.

He said in Boxing Monthly that Enzo is a skinny ostrich and chinny.

He also said he would knock Haye out.

Herbie says he'll only go back to heavyweight if/when he becomes the number one at cruiserweight. He's not interested in the heavyweight division. He makes 200 lbs easy and is far better suited at cruiser.

Just watched the fight.

Have to say Herbie is going to have a say until someone does not get intimidated by him.

Another big money bout for Mr W arren if he has the bollocks to put Enzo in with Hide - it would be brilliant entertainment and by that I mean the lead up to the fight because Hide and W arren have history.

I would love it if W arren would be willing to get Hide in there with the Welshman!!!!

With regards tonights performance - very raw is probably the way to put it from Hide.

I feel compelled to watching Hide fights. His fight with Bowe so so recklessly exciting, and there was always the feeling that he could have done better with a smarter plan. Subsequent KO losses disspelled that rumour but now with the cruiser limit being bigger he is in with some kind of chance.

I think Haye has ruined Fragomeni and this is a fight Hide could go for. Herbie still relies on speed, power and reflexes, but at 36 he seems to have them still. Whatever you say of him he's always been a specimen, and he hits very hard especially for a cruiserweight.

His technique is still questionable, and he left that chin out to dry. Herbie does look impressively slim. I wonder if May still thinks Haye and Johnny Nelson are the hardest hitters he's encountered (Haye in sparring, Nelson in a WBO title match). Anything can happen with HH so I'd love to tune in for future live Eurosports.

I enjoyed it tonight, the blastout of May.

2nd Round.

May landed 2 shots in the 1st round then HH went ballistic punching him to the floor and ONCE MORE when he was on the floor.

2nd Round ALL HH - punched him into a corner and bludgeoned the giy o the ground.

Wild cheating hitting behind the head and when MAY ws throufgh the ropes.

HH is still a bully - Haye would KO him and maybe even Enzo if he did not get hit first.
