Ener Julio almost certainly the man for Khaliq

Jawaid "Too Sleek" Khaliq wil almost certainly make the seventh defence of his IBO welterweight title against Colombia's Ener Julio on February 14 in Nottingham.
Julio, a former WBO light-welterweight champ, has never been stopped.

Good opponent, of course Julio's name was touted for Hare last year. Khaliq's got this test now and deservedly so.

I think the former world champion might just still have too much for Khaliq, unfortunately. I can see him taking a points decision. I hope I'm wrong.

Good fight/name for Khaliq, he will have a weight advantage too.

Haven't seen any fighter of Julio's quality on Khaliq's record to make me agree with your prediction, SS. I'm hope I'm wrong, I actually like the Nottingham shows - its just I'm not convinced. I saw Julio not so long ago on Eurosport he's fading, but his chin is a lot more steardier than Bergman's.

Stick your money on Khaliq. Ener Julio is tough and brave, but suffers from cuts and was comprehensively outscored last year by that Hercules fellow who got blown out in two rounds by Antonio Margarito recently.
Khaliq at home is a tough proposition for anyone.

PS: I think it was Knockout who mentioned on an earlier thread that Julio has suffered from cataracts in the past. He has indeed. He needed an operation after beating Randall Bailey for the WBO light-welter title.
