I always see it a shame that Howard is considered (and rightly) a no risk opponent. He had the talent to make at least British champion. I remember him dominating against Michael Smyth a few years ago (Smyth was #1 contendor at the time) and it being called a draw. Fernando Vargas still talks about him as a good opponent - I think he should have (as he said he would have been) been awarded an automatic British title shot folowing that performance, he was in tremendous shape.

He seems like a nice bloke, but he's another "if only" fighter. He's too good for Nobby's stable IMO.

I agree with Stu, it seems weird that a guy that did ok against Vargas and has had some good wins seems to have slipped into "no risk" or journeyman status. Does he not have more losses than wins on his record now? Old Howard

I wonder what the weights will be ???!!!!!
Not an earthly of Howard being below 12 stone.
Colud this be the start of the Clarke comeback ?????
Only joking, but Alexander looked seriously vulnerable when tagged in his last fight, and it only takes one lucky shot from the heavier man......

Apparently Howard has agreed to come in no heavier than 11stone9... Wayne will weigh in on the day I guess and will be about 11st 6.

No risk comeback? Wasn't the fight against Mellis supposed to be a no risk comeback? :D

Shit - after round 1 I was looking at a new career as Gypsy Rose Warren.
Is it correct that the stoppage was premature ?
I haven't seen it yet.

Jacko11 spoke to Howard the day after the fight, and Howard said it was premature.
