Kessler v Miranda, 24th May

He's picked a toughie for his comeback bout after a first loss. As long as his confidence is not badly damaged it should mean a win.

Any fight involving Miranda promises to be entertaining and i'm impressed that he's gunning for probably the No.2 SMW so soon after moving up.

i don't think Kessler should suffer a crisis confidence....what's Miranda going to do, pick him off all night like Joe Calzaghe, do me a favour.

I'm slightly surprised Kessler turned down Froch after Inkin pulled out.....is anyone else.

I shouldn't be as Froch should be in his best ever shape, and to be fair what did Kessler have? a month's notice or so?
Two month's notice though and I'd thought Kessler would have the beating of Froch, maybe even a month's notice.

I guess why fight at the Nottingham arena or wherever for no title when you can wait a year and fight for 10 times the sum.

Though fight mate. But I personally think Mirando might win this by KO.

Joe managed to hurt Kessler with a body punch in the third (I think). Had the ref not prevented Joe from pursuing Mikel, I think he might've been floored. And Joe has less power at 168 than Edison.

It will definately be a litmus test at to how good Kessler really is.

He won't be fully prepared against someone whos been In weeks of training and plus he had a hand Injury to get over too. They even said he understandably turned It down so I don't know why they offered Mikkel the fight.

Miranda's nothing more than a limited puncher who somehow climbed the IBF rankings beating journeymen before Eastman so Kessler should win easy. Plus he was easily stopped by Pavlik.

What happened to Miranda-Pascal? They were being built up for months. So all the pantomine antics on ESPN between the two was all in vain!

Should the fight go ahead, it is a real chance for Kessler to come firing back in toward the top of the Division and potentially take over (for the time being at least) as Super-Middle's top man following the eventual permanent departure of JC...

I don't think Miranda is on the same level as Kessler.

I think Kessler will beat Miranda, but I don;t if the victory will be as clear-cut as you think. Miranda has got a dig on him & always comes to win. He'll pit pressure on Kessler & it's how Kessler's deals with that i.e. his tactics, stratgegy, etc, which will be the deciding factor.

Skillwise, I think Kessler is much the better boxer. Anyone else think sharing a ring with Calzaghe will may have made Mikkel a better fighter?

Yes Mirands KO'd Jon Banks and Pascal laboured and was badly rocked by Omar Pittman on the same card. The jury's still out on Pascal IMO.

Kessler had surgery on his hand after the Calzaghe fight. They obviously want to give him enough time to recover.

As I stated in the current scene, my prediction is a unanimous decision win for Kessler.

I think he Ko's Miranda, he was overpowered by Pavlik and Kessler's way better and stronger than Pavlik.

pascal just began trainning after an injury, they should make the figth but at the end of the years.

Anyway even without an injury and with proper trainning i dont think that pascal is on the same level than miranda.

Man Miranda has some brave management. If I was his team I would continue to build his record with a couple of good wins over top 20ish SM's before taking on Kessler or the elite at SM so the hype factor over Miranda is still there. He has excuses for his two previous losses against Abraham and Pavlik - dodgy refereeing and weight drained respectively but if he loses to Kessler he's finally exposed with no excuse. I personally think Kessler is a class above and the fight will be similar to Kessler-Andrade with the difference being Miranda does not posess the granite chin of Andrade and so is eventually stopped. Shame though because I like Miranda - okay he's a little limited in terms of skill but he's always good to watch as he's got power and takes chances. But kudos to Miranda he really will fight anyone.
