Ricky Hatton filling a stadium of 55,000 fans is going to be something to savour for not only himself and his team - but it will be yet another shot in the arm for British Boxing it is going to bloody fantastic news.

With regards to the outcome of the fight - I am intrigued bloody intrigued as stated earlier in the thread - I am very very curious how Ricky is going to come back from the Mayweather defeat - I will qualify that remark by stating that many people on here have stated we have not seen the best of Ricky Hatton since the KT fight - I actually disagree - I think there has been many improvements.

With that said - the Collazo fight was a hard one - the Urango fight could have been easier and lets face it Mayweather one was a struggle.

What is intriguing is the manner of Ricky's victory against Lazcano - lets face it - HE WILL WIN - But I want to see him win convincingly.

Spud, be honest..

WTF had Hatto done for ANYONE apart from Hatton?

Once he goes I preduct 90% of those in attendance leave the Sport.

Its short sharp cash injection for Hatton.

The guy is a walking contradiction and as a fighter is limited - just blessed with a big following.

This is a fight for HATTON and those who follow him.

British Boxing will not benefit long term.

David Haye getting the 20k through the door WAS/IS much better for the Sport of Boxing in this country.

My opinion - but I AM RIGHT!

Ringside are £500 then all the way down the scale.
Any MCFC fans here who could advise where the best seats will be for boxing, assuming the ring is on the half way line ? Never been but assume the stands are a fair way back as the arena was used for athletics.
Be interesting to see how quickly the tickets are snapped up.
The floor seats are all quite pricey. Is the east stand where the tunnel is ?
46k sold so far apparently.
Got to say - I honestly did not think the tickets would go so quickly - I knew Ricky was popular - but bloody hell this is good!!!

Good for the sport as well!!!
The undercard will be decent too i reckon.

A couple of surprises on there.

DG - I agree that Haye getting so many through the door was FANTASTIC - and although I do like Enzo I was delighted that Haye won .

With regards to Ricky and what he does and doesn't do for the sport - I am inclined to agree - he does it for himself - but its bloody good for the sport as well.

Despite your dislike for Ricky Hatton - British Boxing is on the up and I cannot remember the last time it was so popular amongst Joe Public and thus it is fantastic.

But DG - despite all of the above there are certain members of Team Hatton who I would love to see their smug smiles being wiped right off their faces - I have strong opinions about them - but I will leave that - it is just fantastic what is happening to British Boxing - bloody fantastic.

The undercard is awesome from what I've heard. Especially the number 2 fight. I just hope two of the British boxers that are fighting get good opposition.

Yep now there is the key - we have seen it before - big promotion - bigger fight have the lions share of the money - and then - the promoter having very little money to work with.

The unfortunate thing about this is - to be honest I do not think a lot of people who don't have a clue will give a f*ck - because - the stadium will be full of 55,000 people!!! - its not like they have to fill the undercard full of ticket sellers or decent fights - therein lies the problem!!!

I haven't seen the main domestic star that's on the card live before, so thinking of going just to see him. Still on the fence as to whether I'll go, as I have Froch v Inkin that month already.

Why is Malignaggi rematching N'Dou??

Wasn't close the first time, seems pointless.

A rematch with his last opponent would be better or someone new.

You know more than me mate - because the 2 British fighters that I know who are on the card other than Ricky of course - the obvious one is Mat Hatton and the other I know of I am sure will be a very popular choice.

There's another not bad domestic welter too. I reckon he'll be facing Matt Hatton.

BTW The Malinaggi v N'Dou fight is because there was a rematch clause in the contract, so Paulie was forced to fight him.

Not sure if I'm allowed to say mate. The fact that others also aren't spilling the beans makes me more sure. I get told off for having a big mouth sometimes.

I do not hate Hatton!

I went from being a fan to sick of the WBU bollocks, to being a fan then sick of the bollocks to still sick of the bollocks!

Hatton is in it for the money.

He talks the same old cliched crap everytime.

I hope he makes more and more money then walks away rich and happy and LETS THE REAL FIGHTERS LIKE HAYE COME THROUGH.

42,000 tickets sold.....don't worry he will be making lots and lots of money.

His popularity doesn't seem to have taken much of a dent 8)

Yeah, looks like it has nearly sold out!

I hope Hatton loses, sorry but its a negative attitude, but then- what good is he in the long term for boxing? I just really don't like his attitude.

Billed as an "IBO World Title Fight" adds even less credibility too it.

I think its a bit like with Frank Bruno- he has such a "crossover appeal" that at times other fighters, perhaps more worthy or at least equally worthy of media/public attention, get ignored.

I personnaly don't think he is the "superstar" he is made out to be.
