Live on Setanta tonight, a rematch that's been a long time coming. Hard to call, in that Marquez is 4 or 5 years older than Manny, and might be on the slide - if this was a few years back, I'd be dead certain that JMM was going to win.....but I still think he will. Just put a nice bet on him to retain on points - now if he'll only remember to duck in the first round...

In BN Abrams backed Pacquiao to stop JMM in 11 rounds. I think as long as Marquez does not grow old overnight (which is possible at 34 and lots of hard fights) then he outboxes Pacquiao at periods for a close, possibly split decision win.

I think Pacman is going to be at his best for this fight, after being a bit lackadaisical for a while. This is his biggest fight since the Morales rematch.

I don't think Marquez will be able to stay out of his way for 12 rounds, and if he is forced to stand and trade there will be only one winner.

Pacman has added to his arsenal significantly since their first fight, and Marquez looks to have slipped.

Late rounds KO Pacman.

Pacman should have had this fight years ago - but he would have lost!

There is something a bit DLH ish about this fight.

JMM is not quite what he was, so Pacman takes the fight now.

I HOPE JMM wins but I think Pacman wins this time.

I REALLY DO NOT SEE WHAT THE BIG DEAL IS ABOUT PACMAN.

He is just a wildman.

If Pacman loses then thats both Diaz and Pacman out of the HATTON stakes - even though they are both small men they were being considered.

gone thru the division and beaten 2 of the best mexican fighters ever.

Diaz was a limited fighter though even Morales did get jobbed.

Pac just recycles on Mexicans he already beat picked at the right time.

what about the first barrera fight then.

marco was arguably in the prime of his career and got thumped.

diaz was limited.

still one of the better lightweights out there though.

morales was said to be completely shot.

ITS A FACT!

He lost 10 rounds against JMM in the first fight.

I knew PACMAN would beat Barrera the 1st time - but it is not BOXING that wins his fights, he is wild fast and strong.

As a boxer he is not up to much, imo.

Pacman is both incredibly hard hitting, and extremely quick. He is no master boxer, but he doesn't need to be.

Marquez SD or UD every day of the week. I'm convinced he'll box Manny in a hard fight to score.

Many looked half dead at the weigh-in, and I'm not sure his stamina is what it was.

In regards to JMM - I think he kept well away personally, realy he was shooled in the first fight apart from the 1st round.

Yes they didn't exactly go full steam for a JMM rematch, but you can pretty much say just about every top fighter at the weight wasn't rushing to fight JJM, even ONCE. He must be a nightmare to fight.
Manny went for Morales instead - not exactly an easy option.

Hard to keep track of what weight Guzman is fighting at, but I'd favour him over PacMan.

Has everyone got amnesia.

Ignacio Beristain turned down what was it $3m purse for Marquez to fight Pacman in a rematch about a year after the first fight.

Cannot accuse Manny of ducking Marquez. Marquez then went and lost his title in Indonesia for $50,000.

Marquez had to rebuilt his status and that is why the fight hasn't happened until now.
