Despair for Clinton. He doesn't get the credit he deserves and has been left way behind by Hatton, Calzaghe and Haye.

I hope he wipes the floor with Tarver (if he loses he needs to think about retiring) and it sets up a unification fight with Dawson after he (hopefully) beats Johnson.

Agreed with your post.

Mind you cannot ever have a sensible conversation with Clinton - he is a raging lunatic.

Clinton has done brilliantly - as has the team getting him the fights in the first place.

Going back to Clinton - I think he will be Tarvers worst nightmare.

Then onto the unification with Dawson - and I hope Dennis secures that fight for the UK!!!

Really? I imagined him to be quite quiet.

I was thinking of going on April 12th, but have to work so will go see the Dawson fight if it happens in the US.

He is a very quiet family man - but when you try to have a conversation with him - he rips into you and then when you lose your rag and ask him to be sensible you can hear him chuckling away.

He laughs more mate - when there is a group - he doesn't say a lot - he will throw in the odd comment - just to get people taking the bait and then you see him laughing at people biting - whats worse is when him and Richard Poxon gang up against you - it is unbearable sometimes!!!

But lets get back to this fight - I will be seriously sh*tting myself - I really want Clinton to do so well.

I hope so and actually think so too mate!!!

If he fights a similar fight to the Rico Hoye fight then I envisage not too many problems!!!

Will be delighted for him and the team if he pulls things off.

Clinton wins a wide UD IMO, after dominating the second half of the fight. If Clinton can keep AT working, he'll be fcuked down the straight

i love clinton, i hope im not being disrespectful when i say that perhaps he is not as talented as some fighters that have won world titles, and indeed some that have never managed it.

but clinton does exactly what he says on the tin..northern grit, lots of educated ring nouse, good economy and useage of skills learned the hard way. he has taken his knocks and come back fighting strong

talent wise probably as good now as richie woodhall was at his peak, although i think ritchie had the better amateur pedigree. good enough to win a real world title, but never a 'great' boxer.

but a credit to himself, his family, yorkshire and boxing itself. and a lovely dry humoured family man to boot.

clinton...a message from rhino...please knock the ugly maltesered headed b'stard tarver out !!!! :D

spud.....mick hennessy nearly knocked you out, that said a lot about your punch resistance....... :TU:

shame mick beat you on points because the BBB of C turned down your next opponent, it was douglas bader but the board thought him a bit too mobile and elusive for you !!

F*ck off Rhino it was a disputed points decision - Meaty Mick got the decision because McCracken was the Ref!!!

Back to the thread mate - This fight with Tarver - as much as it is great too see people wanting Clinton to win - I don't think it is as easy as that - I honestly believe it is going to be one of those fights that will see us all sitting on the end of our seats!!!

Tarver will have something he will bring to the table - as much as I hope and want Clinton to win - it is not an easy fight.

Woods-Tarver has already won 'Press Conference of the Year 2008', Clinton beats him up with British humour and sarcasm

I really want a Woods win in this one, I'll be backing him at the bookies to get the decision.

Come On Clinton!! :box:

Okay then lets dream for a moment - what would be the right move in your opinions if Clinton beats Tarver.

Set up a clash with Calzaghe??

Or will the clash with Chad Dawson perhaps in this country satisfy you guys??
