"Klitschko retires after the 9th round with a torn rotator cuff suffered in the 3rd round"
Sounds too subjective.
Did a medical doctor conduct an examination between rounds 3 and 4 and determine that the rotator cuff was torn, or is that going on Klitschko's word on when he felt pain?
Why not just report the facts: "Klitschko retires after round nine; suffers torn rotator cuff during fight."

Subjective would be "Klitschko retires after the 9th round, even though he could probably win the fight one-armed ... what a pussy." ;)HOGBEAR wrote:"Klitschko retires after the 9th round with a torn rotator cuff suffered in the 3rd round"

VK did wind up having surgery on the shoulder, so the type of injury is a matter of record. You have to take his word for the round in which the injury occurred, but it would likely also be quite clear from watching the fight. (If VK did somehow manage to hide the injury until later, then I agree, the note about the 3rd round should go.)

agreed. this sounds like the work of a klitschko fan.
does wladimir klitschkos knockout loss to journeyman ross purritty still say some BS like 'wlad over paced himself' etc, the likes of which should remain on eastside and their website, not on our wonderful boxrec opus.
these klitschko boys have people everywhere making excuses for them.
