Clinton Woods
I'd be very happy with either Calzaghe or Dawson if he beats Tarver, I think the Dawson fight would be the better spectacle, but JC would bring the BIGGER kudos and probably more ££'s.Spud wrote:Okay then lets dream for a moment - what would be the right move in your opinions if Clinton beats Tarver.
Set up a clash with Calzaghe??
Or will the clash with Chad Dawson perhaps in this country satisfy you guys??
Woods-Dawson and Calzaghe-Froch (let me dream) would do me nicely after Clinton punches Tarvers Fathead in
Woods said: "In my eyes, there's no bad blood but I don't like flash fighters like him.
"He just walked in and started making c**p up. Guys like him just shout and shout.
"All he was doing was repeating himself saying how bad I am and that he'd knock me out in two rounds.
"He just kept shouting and to tell you the truth I felt like biting his nose off.
If JC and Clinton win in the US next month, Clinton should be in prime position to face JC in another Battle Of Britain

Just got back mate - been saying for sometime that if Clinton were to fight Joe Calzaghe then Clinton gives him all the trouble he could wish for.
I do not think Calzaghe is a concusive puncher to get anywhere near stopping Clinton - so we then look to a points decision - a lot of people will say Calzaghe would win easily on a points decision - I am not so sure - in my view since the Rico Hoye fight Clinton has improved massively.
I fully acknowledge Calzaghe would be a clear favourite - I fully acknowledge Calzaghe is a very good boxer indeed - but with all that said I honestly believe Clinton is one of the most under-rated boxers on the world scene - Calzaghe would have to fight at his very best - Kessler has shown Clinton the way to beat Calzaghe.
Close fight - certainly a lot closer than a lot of people think at present.
