johnson beat woods and in my mind justice was done.johnson was very emotional and deserved this well done

woods for me was his usual to laid back self

does anyone no if clinton trains hard for his fights?never looks to me like he is in peak condition.

To be honest mate I think Clinton may have trained too hard, he looked a bit stale to me like he'd reached the summit of the mountain and was on his way back down.

bennie was talking about the late, great Carlos Monzon last week, and was saying how he didn't push himself as hard as some in the gym, a lot of fighters can learn from that. You need some hard sparring, but lighter 'touch sparring' should make up the bulk of your preparation - that's just my opinion of course.

Take nothing away from Glencoffe, he was the better man and Clinton knew it. He deserves to earn some cash now, he's been all over the globe taking people on in their back yard and you could see the genuine delight he was feeling when the result was announced. World Champion Glencoffe Johnson, good on him.

Stop making excuses for Woods, he never was that good. Johnson beat him up good and proper and thoroughly deserved what he got tonight.

I had a lump in my throat during his post-fight interview and a lump in my pants when I turned over to Men and Motors after the boxing.

I have to say I was very disapointed in Woods, whether Tim Witherspoon cannot potray his knowledge as a corner man, he certainly spoke sense for the BBC. Where were the combinations? Where was the engine that was his forte for his gallant victories over Ashley and Klemensten. For me, Johnson certainly looked an older version this time - his intensity in the earlier part wasn't near as good and he was still absolutely shattered and needed to rest in the 8th and 9th. For all his good skills, his stamina problems may be his problem in unification matches or a match with Tarver. Johnson won the fight by 2 for me, I think this fight wasn't as clear cut as the initial match and Woods must start better if he's do get his world title.

I actually thought the fight was not as clear cut a victory as the first match, I scored it Johnson by two but that could have been a draw cause some of the rounds were close.

I don't think its necessarily the end of the line for Woods, a match with Oboh would be great. Hopefully the winner can face the ancient Branco and capture world honours.

Have to say, well done to the Sheffield people for respecting Johnson during the national anthems - thats a rare thing these days.

Johnson for me is a special fighter, he fought at a furious pace, and he had Woods in all kinds of trouble, I had him winning by four rounds, Woods quite simply was beaten by a better fighter.

Johnson has my utmost respect, he's a well seasoned durable and highly skilled fighter who does everything well. He started at middleweight and yet fighting at light heavyweight had the power in both hands to hurt the iron chinned woods repeatedly.

What a fighter, and what an amazing night's boxing.

Johnson is class. If he had a big promoter behind him, he would have been world champ years ago. He's a throwback.

I agree with that bennie, i was discussing it with someone on MSN earlier, imagine Johnson with a decent home following, a top class trainer and a good promoter behind him. He wouldn't have had to go on the road and get robbed so often by gutless "homeboys" like Branco and Ottke.

As for Woods well i gave him little chance with my mate Paul Briggs before this fight and he has no chance now, not that the fight will happen anyway, Briggs would destroy him with his workrate and big right hands. Woods is something of a nearly man anyway he was never that good, better men never got the chance to fight Jones but i don't begrudge him is chance.

Glens determination just blew me away. He put every ounce of energy into that fight and would not give an inch. I hadn't seen much of him before the first Woods fight but if he ever fights over here again I'll go to support him. 35 and he fought like a 21 year old. This man is trouble for any light heavy (not including Roy of course)

I couldn't really see Tarver having much trouble with him either to be fair, but anyone outside those top two would have there hands full with him.
