how to compete?

been boxing 2 years sparring,

i think i am ready and i talked to my coach he said i need to have the papers from my physical and a book? or record book?

my question is where do i get the record book? and the only thing i need are the results from my physical after i schedule one with my doctor or what? anything to tell my doctor that its for boxing? confused i'm already at top physical condition and rdy to gogogo

Does your coach have other amateur boxers?

You will need to register with USA Boxing in your area. There is a yearly membership fee; you will need a copy or your birth certificate, and two head-shot/passport-type pictures. A physical is not mandatory, unless your area asks for one. Email me at [email protected] and tell me the city and state you live in. I'll send you a contact.

For the love of God, why would a coach possibly not know this stuff? Seriously? :-?

For the love of St. Patrick, I have no freaking clue! You'd be amazed how many requests I get like that. Sigh. Probably not an amateur/USAB registered gym.
