Froch vs Inkin Rescheduled for 10th May

Hennessy Sports in association with GoldenPalace.com are delighted to announce that the recently postponed Froch vs Inkin fight will now be taking place at the Nottingham Arena on the 10th May 2008.
Chief support on the night will still be John Murray vs John Fewkes plus the majority of the undercard as previously advertised.
Carl Froch said:
“I’m delight my promoter has managed to reschedule this fight, myself and Denis have unfinished business from his win over me in the amateurs. This is a brilliant fight as we are the number 1 & 2 rated fighters in the WBC rankings; both unbeaten with excellent records and high knock out ratios. It doesn’t get much better than this”.
The Froch vs Inkin fight will be broadcast live on ITV1, with further fights from the under-card broadcast on ITV4. Coverage will also be simulcast on ITV.com
Tickets for Nottingham Arena on the 10th May 2008 are on sale via Nottingham Arena box office:
Tel: 0870 121 0123 24hr hotline
£30 Reserved tiered and reserved floor seating.
£40 Premium tiered seating
£75 Outer ringside seating
£150 Inner ringside seating

or via the website:
http://www.nottingham-arena.com

All ticket holders are advised to retain their tickets which will be valid for the rescheduled date, should you be unable to attend on the new confirmed date, please return your ticket to the point of purchase for a full refund.

As of 1st April the Nottingham Arena 24hr Ticket Hotline number will be changing to:
08444 124 624.

Looks like Inkins reasons for pulling out were genuine enough then.

Carl is gonna be pissed off with the delay, combine that with another 6 weeks hard training behind him and Denis is in a whole world of trouble. It's gonna be a good year for Our Frochy

They just rescheduled the fight, so it would happen after Hopkins/Calzaghe and they can fight for the vacant WBC title, instead of having just a title eliminator now, that´s my theory anyway. :-?

while Froch was up for that fight and was in great shape physically and mentally, he may be a bit thrown off by the rescheduling. Inkin may have been stung by criticism and perhaps will come in fired up.

It's all true, but it's not the way I choose to look at the situation

There's no mention of Showtime in Wellingtons press release :-? Anyone know if they're gonna pick this one up again? abit of US exposure wouldn't go amiss for either fighter

Agonising delay, but it will worth it if Carl delivers the goods. I'm optimistic 8)
