Am I imagining things or did another fight fall through before he decided to fight Mger thingymejig, and then decided to postpone it?

No, I don't think that fight was ever even close to being made, I am almost certain though that Calzaghe did have an opponent who pulled out, perhaps the mind is playing tricks on me.

It was the same bloke he's fighting on Feb 21, James. The Armenian Mger something. Calzaghe pulled out with flu.

Calzaghe pulled out because the fight date clashed with an important night out with the wife Wasn't he out on the piss in Cardiff a few days after pulling out with flu? I am always up Cardiff and i have never seen him or Charlotte Church yet

He was scheduled to face Mger but pulled out due to the "flu." It also turned out Showtime wasn't interested in the fight and he was trying to line up something bigger that never materialized.
