Who needs Columbo?

Post by bennie »

I was somewhat bemused to log-in earlier today and see that Knockout Artist had posted a thread: "Is this forum overly critical of allegedly?" and had good things to say about the Sports Network chief. :o This worried me. It was akin to Loftgroov wishing Alex Arthur well. Or me praising Spud for his literacy and impartiality. Or Mighty Warrior getting a prediction right. Or Nasty turning on Joe Mesi.
Being the investigative type, I decided to look into this out of character thread. I didn't have far to look. allegedly published his all-time top 10 heavyweights yesterday in the News of the World:

1. Muhammad Ali
2. Larry Holmes
3. Joe Louis
4. Mike Tyson
5. Sonny Liston
6. George Foreman
7. Joe Frazier
8. Evander Holyfield
9. Lennox Lewis
10. Rocky Marciano

Several weeks earlier, Knockout Artist had listed his own top 10 on the Boxers of the Past forum:

1. Joe Louis
2. Larry Holmes
3. Jack Dempsey
4. Sonny Liston
5. Jack Johnson
6. Rocky Marciano
7. George Foreman
8. Muhammad Ali
9. Joe Frazier
10. Mike Tyson

They agree on seven out of the 10 choices, and I know KO Artist is a particularly big fan of Sonny Liston, who Warren has at number five.
Who needs Columbo? 8)

PS: All in jest, KO Artist.
