Don't think the card was too well matched (but who's surprised there!), the local fighters all won by knockout.

Robbie Bryant TKO3 Terdkiat Siththeppitak
Andrew Green TKO1 Trevor Loomes

Erin McGowan and Mike Hatwell both won by knockouts also.

A good pro debut for Andrew Green, although his opponent is now 0 for 3. Also good to see Robbie getting back in the ring, although against a relatively unimpressive opponent. Time for him to step it up and enter the ring with someone the caliber of Tyrone Tongia or Andreas Seran again.

Do you think Tongia might have run out of Filipinos and Kiwi pensioners yet?

Robbie Bryant will be fighting again, on the 15th of June. Can't remember the venue, but it is in WA. He told me that his opponent is higher ranked than him, BoxRec No 80-something, from a south-east asian country, can't remember which one (possibly indonesia). The fight is scheduled at light-middleweight, no number of rounds scheduled as yet. Good to see him getting active again, he tells me that he was supposed to be fighting over east a few weeks ago, but the fight fell through.

The fight is on at the Italian club, I will be there and report in the morning how he went along with Hatwell and the other fights.

Turns out Robbie's opponent is actually Chokchana Sithkrupon (1-2-1, both losses by KO) who is ranked BoxRec No845 @ light middleweight. Oddly, two of his last three fights were at 168lb and 175lb, but this should still be a knockout win for Robbie. Hopefully he will win this one and make a step-up in his quality of opposition, seeing as he was hoping to have a title of some kind by the end of 2008.

Bryant by KO in 1. The Thai was doing OK until he walked into a massive right hand.

Update: Robbie Bryant has now fought twice in England, not sure who his opponents were. Both 6 round fights, he won one by TKO, won the other on points.

These fights are not on BoxRec yet, and I'm not sure about the names of his opponents.

Not sure why exactly, but he just got back recently (as in within 1 week). I assume that both of his opponents were pretty low ranked seeing as they have not appeared on the BoxRec radar.

After a relatively long absence, Robbie has made a successful return to pro boxing, knocking out Jakkirt Suwunnalirt in the 4th round of their fight.

Good to have another win, but about time he got more active and steps up the quality of his opposition.

Bryant looked good in his fight last Saturady. He does need to be more active though.

Robbie Bryant will be on the undercard of Danny Green's comeback fight. He will be fighting Tui Leveni over 6 rounds.

Records:

Bryant: 7(4)-0-1, ranked #175 at 160lb
Leveni: 8(5)-2-0, ranked #186 at 154lb

Their suggested weight divisions are misleading, as Bryant's weight has ranged from 153-158lb in his fights, Leveni's 147-159lb. Leveni has no listed height, Bryant is listed as 5'8 but is actually around 5'10.

I am interested if anyone has seen Leveni, or both fighters before? It is certainly a step-up for Bryant, who has not fought anyone in his class since Andreas Seran in mid 2007. Definitely a good fight to see happening, I will reserve judgement on the outcome until I know more about Leveni.

Ive seen them both, I think its a fairly even fight. I will pick Bryant to win in a close fight.

Your right to Jezza he seems a little taller than 5'8.

Done a bit of research. I'll go for Bryant, close on points, but if it were over east I'd favour Leveni.

Tui Leveni in last bout lost a 12 rounder to Robert Medley, so he has the fitness despite not a huge resume of bouts. Although the scorecards showed a big win on points to Robert, Tui put up a game and took no backward steps. Tui is a walk up fighter and could prove more than a handful for Mr Bryant.

Good work by the match-makers on putting on a decent undercard, unlike those Boxa shambles.

Bryant can hit alright, but if Leveni lasted 12 rounds against Medley, I can't really see him being stopped. On the other hand, I wonder what Leveni's punching power is like. Bryant has a good chin, but has been hit flush a few times since turning pro, being wobbled by Tongia and knocked down by Seran.
