Hey, Robin. When you are back in Vancouver checking out the newspapers, would you add another item to your checklist? This is the Nov. 11, 1925 Art Humphries-Bud Davies bout in Vancouver. The EVERETT DAILY HERALD contained two separate articles in the same edition on this bout. In one, under the headline "GETS SIX-ROUND DRAW," the result is reported as a draw. Then, in another article under "Fistic Results" of the previous day, it is reported as a four-round win for Davies. I'm thinking this second report is the inaccurate one. Thanks. Ric

And could you also double-check Roy Clarke's opponent on that card? The EDH says it's Harry Halliday. I know there was a Larry Halliday from VBC at the time, so that's how I have entered the bout. Maybe he had a brother who was also a lightweight. Dunno. Ric

You bet, got that along with the Foley-Villa title search. Gets any colder here just may move down there for the rest of the winter.

I have another one: Vic Foley's Feb. 2, 1926 bout with Young Farrell. My newspaper source was unclear about the date or the duration of the bout. (It DID provide a historical factoid I have included as a note.) Ric
