I think it gets declared a draw. Boring, ugly fight that no one wants to think about a rematch.

Peak for Peak

At best Frazier TKO 8. Louis nut huggers might not like it, but Joe Frazier is not getting pushed around by a guy who weighs less than 174 lbs.

Monzon vs. Qawi at 175

4 months later....the result would have been the same....would have probably lasted 5 rounds, but with Hagler still proving to be too strong and tough for the Hitman. :box:

Thats a damned cool match up.

Assuming its over 15 rounds.

I am going to be bold and say Patterson by TKO 11. After himself being dropped in the 3rd round. At the time of the stoppage, two judges have it for Charles and one has it as a draw.

Jesse Fergusson Vs Jack Ashton (peak for peak) 10 rounds

Jesse Fergusson Vs Jack Ashton (peak for peak) 10 rounds

I looked up Jack Ashton and all that turned up heavyweights wise was some 7-3 guy who fought from 1885-1891. :(

How about Jesse Ferguson vs. Bert Cooper. :)

Did they ever fight?...Hmmm.I'm gonna look it up right now. 8)

Seems like that woulda been a great matchup. :box:

Ashton was one of Sullivans sparring partners who himself fought.

Fergusson (when he was in upset mode) against Cooper would be awesome.

Fergusson wins by UD over 10 rounds he takes Coopers big shots after being dropped early on. Builds up and big lead and out works a slowing cooper in the mid to later rounds.

ironically these two had a three round exhibition once early in Tunney's career...I think Tunney edges Corbett just enough to squeak home a 15 round split decision. :TU:
