This is going to be an absolute horrorshow.

- Hopkins eats southpaws up.
- Joe has looked shit against much lesser fighters who didnt come forward.
- Joe's going to be trying way too hard, it being his first stateside appearance.
- If Salem and Mitchell could find a punch to put Calzaghe over, how hard is it going to be for a GREAT counterpuncher to land on target, especially with a heated and wailing Calzaghe lunging at him all night. Joe's defence is his offence, he IS going to get cracked and punished on more than a few occassions.
- Styles make fights. Calzaghe's looked brilliant against top opposition that fought with styles that were tailor made for him. NOBODY looks good against Hopkins, not even a prime Roy (against a very raw Hopkins).
- If a fighter as classy and slippery as Winky couldn't do a thing with Hopkins, what on earth is Joe going to do with him? He'll throw a lot, land little and get stung in return.
- Hopkins has a granite chin and is near impossible to hit cleanly.
- Hopkins is a much better inside fighter, a place where 90% of this potentially ugly fight will take place.

Mark my words, Joe's in deeper than he knows. That's coming from someone who loathes Hopkins, I think he fought down to his advantage and will always be in the shadow of Jones and Toney.

Joe's heading for his first loss and it'll be an ugly, unsatisfactory, anticlimactic theft.

I can see it going this way also......not sure it will be a bad decision though.....Hopkins will know when to do enough in a round to look good for the judges, i don't think the Americans will warm too much to Calzaghes punching/slapping style.

Hopkins can win this with bodypunching, uppercuts, a little roughing up with the head shoulders, elbows ect and the sneak right hand he has is taylor made to score big against Calzaghe.

I hope Hopkins does it as Calzaghe desrves a good beating by a 40+ year old man to humble him.

quite liked the way calzaghe handled his interview last night,very calm,quite focused....serious intent...no bull..ittin. `looked comfortable....an seems to have a good idea as to how he`s gonna beat hopkins...last man standing in the camp now...its back on his BROAD SHOULDERS now to preserve the newbridge honour...more pressure....!!¬¬
