How good is Doug DeWitt

Post by kovit »

Tell me how good is the first former WBO Middleweight Champion Doug DeWitt who have the iron chin? Also how tall is he in height? I guess he is very tall in the middleweight division, do you? Can anyone know about it?

He failed his bus driver's test, but not because of his height.

Hope that helps.

Thank you Bennie, that's mean he's an inch taller than Hearns, right?

I think Doug was about 6 feet 2... he was a very tough fighter who had an almost inhuman capaticy to take punches. But he was also a underrated boxer with good skills which he often neglected and chose instead to brawl... had wars with many of the top Middleweights of the 80s including the great Thomas Hearns... gave Hearns a very tough fight cutting him badly over both eyes and taking all his bombs....

Where the hell did you get DeWitt as 6'2", you must be thinking of Willie DeWItt.

Doug is 5'8 and a half.

No way was Doug Dewitt 5 foot 8... when he fought hearns they were about the same height... he was also about the same height as Don Lee... I'd check in the Box rec records but it seems to have gone a bit weird!...

i seem to remember nigel benn knocking him out (quite early, i think) and the fella i`m thinking of didn`t seem very tall.
i may be getting mixed up with someone else with a similar name.

De Witt decked Benn early though, it wasnt an easy night for Benn.

De Witt looked shorter than Benn, who is only 5'91/2.
