ALEX STEWART v JESSE FERGUSON

Post by overhand_right »

I'd like to point out that i have the video of this fight, and ferguson knocked stewart down twice.

many other stewart knockdowns noted, not these ones.

poor boogieman, talk about a robbery!

more worthy info ignored... exactly why this site is getting dissed on the prestigious cyber boxing zone... 'the editors ignore their fans help' etc.....

You realize of course that the editors would prefer to verify facts, rather than take someones word for it, and then have someone such as yourself come back later and tell us we were wrong.

yes but i have been here for YEARS as opposed to some newbie coming here and creating facts.

i saw the fight and its written up in both boxing illustrated and boxing monthly in the world round up sections.

if a guy whos been here for years withover 2000 posts why cant you just accept i've seen the fight.

its also unfair that fergusons losses to dannel nicholson, jermey willaims, and bruce seldon all look like he was TKO'd. he quit with eye injuries in all these fights, again, i have all of them on tape.

If Boxrec insist on adding an injury footnote to Vitali's loss to Byrd (which I think is inaccurate and unnecessary), then they should be consistent and add footnotes for all of those Ferguson fights. Hey, he was injured.

We try to ad notes that say what exactly happened in a fight. The problem is we don't always know. The policy is that we always try to verify info that someone gives us.

fergusons nickname has now incorrectly been changed to 'the bogey man'.

its the 'boogie man'. everybody knows that.

the info that used to be included with the bizarre mike tyson fight has also been removed. (very helpful)

for editors, a lot of you guys really dont seem to follow the game at all.

It's Boogieman again. Don't know why it was changed, since I remember the word Boogie (not Bogey) on Ferguson's trunks. I believe it was in that fight with Alex Stewart, dropped him twice if I'm right.

That's a great policy, and I completely understand. Which is why I started the Vitlai/Byrd thread—how exactly did boxrec verify that Vitali seperated his shoulder in the third round? The current comment is biased. It was a similar situation to Tszyu/Mitchell, for which the boxrec editorial comment states: "Mitchell was unable to continue after the 7th round due to a partial ligament tear in his left knee." There is no need to say which round we think these guys were injured.

damn, some of my jesse ferguson info has been added.

all the stuff about that whole ESPN tournement.

if you want to complete it accurately, jesse fergusons 4 rd kayo of richard scott and buster douglas' 1 rd kayo of dion simpson were the eastern heavyweight SEMI-finals.

its all right there in the preview to the popular and readily available ferguson-douglas tape.
