Hot Ugandan welter Badru Lusambya is now based in Scotland going by reports, heard he's signed with Bravehart promotions.
He's got an impressive record of 17 wins and 16 KO's.
and might be on Saturdays bill in Glasgow

Some of these African records make me smile though, he won the African Boxing Union light middleweight title against a bloke with a record 1-8-1

A lot of these Africans can have very deceiving records bit if he's still fighting Emanuel Augustus next month as billed we should at least get to see what kind of potential he has. Hopefully another Munyai or Asiku to entertain us.

O/T anyone watch The Last King of Scotland? I watched it last week. Superb movie, thoroughly well done and very insightful. I never knew much about Iddie Amin prior to watching it and the amazing peverse thing was he was trying to be a good ruler

Yeah I watched it last week as well, good film. I'd like to know how much of the film was based on true events.

As you say it gave the impression (probably the correct one) that Amin was trying to be a good leader, he was just severely misguided, but the fact that 300,000 people were killed in Uganda under his rule speaks volumes. He was supposedly a very charasmatic figure, but he looked to have got wrapped up in his own ego and power.

Amin: Why did you not tell me not to expel all the Asians?

I've never quite understood how if i killed my neighbour i would get life in prison, but if i became leader of a country and killed thousands then i get to live in excile in luxury.

Hows that work?

Yeah it's just plain wrong. Remember General Pinochet from Chile who massacred and tortured in his own country for years, he got ill in his old age and was flew over to the UK for treatment

I'd have preferred George Dubya to be stuck in exile, it should have happened as soon as he said "We want Osama Dead or Alive" that was the moment I realised the world was in trouble. The coont thought he was a cross between John Wayne and Robocop, he's the most powerful man on the planet and a total gobshite to boot.

I didn't think the yanks would be able to vote in anyone stupider than Reagan, but they managed it. In saying that who is the stupider? the fool or the man who follows the fool?
