Are you crazy? You're watching a man get near killed there.STP wrote:Chris Eubank right hand, 11 rounds in in the Watson rematch, having been battered to a pulp for 11 rounds straight and forced to keep up the pace of lightweight (ie effing shattered, barely able to stand), when for once that night he measures Watson's attack, steps in and lets him have it...

Watching it over on DVD, that punch just get's better and better each time you rewind and see it. I did it about 30-40 times the other night, and it just got better and better each time!

Yep, I've never seen anyone get up from a harder shot than that, a near miracle Larry survived that one.The Great John L wrote:Shavers RH landed on Holmes
The left hook that Ray Leonard finished off Dave Boy Green with was the hardest shot he ever threw.
Hearns right hand that froze Pipino Cuevas was dynamite too.
Unfortunately that is one of the best...BrocktonBlockbuster49 wrote:Walcotts left hook on charles, the most perfectly executed punch ever captured on film
Also
Curry's left hook on McCrory
McCallum's left hook on Curry
Foster's shot that KO'd Quarry
Frazier's shot that KO'd Foster
Leonard's left hook against Dave Green
Jackson's right hands against Graham and Norris
Chavez's hook against Mayweather
Benitez KO of Maurice Hope
Azumah Nelson uppercut against Pat Cowdell

Agree 100%. What a sick b#stard this fella is, knowing the trauma that shot put Watson through to this very day. One of the most repulsive posts i've ever read on this forum.

I didn't say anything about Shavers being the loser or the winner. I said that he hit Ali as hard as he hit Holmes, so the idea that the Holmes punch is particularly special is wrong. It looked better because Ali, even at 35, had a better chin than Holmes and didn't get splattered like Larry did.
I'm sure, for example, that Hearns hit Hagler or Hill as hard as he hit Cuevas, harder in fact. But the punch looks better because Cuevas doesn't have the same punch resistance, he was a 147 pounder and they were 160 and 175 pounders.
