Cant say I am sad to see Spinks lose - his style just doesnt float my boat.

WOW... Upset of the year for me... even surpases Campbell vs Diaz.

He turned his life around after the Silky Jones disaster.... but he looked washed up good in his last outing.

Hats off to Verno, its almost 14 years since he stopped Lupe Aquino for the WBO title, and over 20 years since Verno turned pro.
To be even fighting at world level after that amount of time is amazing, hope he gets some decent paydays now.

Would love to get him over here for Jamie Moore, but i expect there's alot of promoters trying to get Verno to face there man now. They may see it as the easy option , but you can never write Verno off.

Plus Jamie Moore isn't ranked in the IBF top 15.

Awesome result, Phillips has been around for aaaages. Dont forget-- Phillips brought down the curtain on Julian Jacksons career with a 9th rd kayo. That was back in the Triassic period.

I think its bad for the sport if Spinks has been robbed again. By rights Spinks should be middleweight champ as he outboxed Taylor in their fight and now he has nowhere to go. Thats a shame

I'm glad he won. Spinks is horrible. Philips also gave Ike Quartey some trouble. Decent fighter.

Why would you be glad If he was robbed though? Thinking he's horrible can't justify It.

Those hick loons on the current scene forum saying it was a robbery doesnt mean it actually was.

That whole section of boxrec should be shut down, so out of hand has it got in the past 3 or 4 years.
