I just noticed there have been some outstanding cards that have been announced, mostly having some kind of British flavour:
June 7, NY - Pavlik-Lockett (WBC, WBO and Ring middleweight titles), Ponce de Leon-JM Lopez (potential war, WBO 122 title, winner could face the great Israel Vazquez)
May 24 - Manchester - Hatton-Lazcano, Malignaggi-N'dou. OK not great fights but it's 2 world titles. Some ppl thought Jamie Moore-Baysangurov - which would have been great - might be on this card but it won't be.
May 10 - Nottingham - Witter-Bradley (WBC 140 title defence), Froch-Inkin (WBC super middle title elim), Murray-Fewkes (2 unbeaten lightweights in what could be fight of the night).
Apr 19 - Vegas - Hopkins-Calzaghe, David Lopez-MA Rubio (this will probably determine a worthy challenger for m/w champ Pavlik later in the year & looks a competitive battle at 160-lbs)
Apr 12 - Clinton Woods-Antonio Tarver, Chad Dawson-Glen Johnson (big night for light heavies; proves no way is Joe-Hopkins for all the 175-lb marbles)
How good is this? All the best shows coming up this year involve British fighters, whether the fights are in the UK or the US.
