Amateur Boxers Database

I have started a boxer’s records database for amateur boxers on the website http://www.ababoxing.com it is of course in its early stages, but will gradually Increase in size. You can find it in the navigation menu (Boxers Database)

It will provide a photo of the boxer, contains the boxer’s first and last name, date of birth, country, and weight division, followed by the boxer’s International and national record.

If anyone would like to help me build up the database please let me know. Its very easy adding information, there’s just lots of it to do.

Now is the time if anyone thinks there should be any other information added to the boxers profile, as I don’t want to have to go back over every boxer adding it.

I am also looking for pictures to go on there profiles if you have any.

You can also contact Matt Mizerski at the Canadian Amateur Boxing Assn. He has a data base that goes back to the 80's.

Will it include females, they are hard to research and it would be useful for match makers.

Is this database publicly accessible from the internet? Would you happen to have a link, thanks!

And an amateur boxing database is a great idea, but of course it would be extremely difficult to implement due to the discreet nature of amateur boxing comissions and whatnot!

Great idea, but you need several clones to help you, cos it's HUGE work.
Good luck with it. I am planing to go to Liverpool for European championships 2008 and hope that finally will get a chance to share couple of beers with you :)
