Herol Graham v The Big British 3

Post by Evander »

As I understand it Herol Graham was an established boxer in the United Kingdom.

He finished his pro career with a respectable record.

48 Wins
6 Losses
0 Draws

He fought Mike McCallum,Julian Jackson and Sumbu Kalambay[Twice]among others.

He never got around to fighting some of the bigger names in British boxing for some reason.

Question

How would Herol Graham have faired had he fought Nigel Benn,Chris Eubank or Michael Watson ?

Graham wasnt known to be a big puncher, but he was extremely slick and a master boxer. He would have outpointed Eubank quite easily, and Watson but closer. I believe Benn had the style to get under Grahams skin, and would stop him in the second half of the fight

Graham was a very good boxer, very slick and quick.

i think the jackson loss took a lot out of him it was such a brutal knockout.

I think benn would get to him after about 9 rounds or so.
he was very similar to eubank and watson they would go to the cards and be close, either way.

He was all wrong for Eubank, but certainly wouldn't have been easy for Graham either! Both had such awkward, unique styles.

Watson was too stiff for Graham's elusiveness and peppering punches.

Benn in his 88-90 physical prime would have taken him in a few rounds.

Nine rounds was a long time for Nigel, if he hadn't 'got to him' in 3-4 rounds he'd have been out of the fight unless he found a lucky shot off the ropes later on or something.
