Re: Lovemore N'dou
now that the question is clarified those that were seeking clarification seem to have dissapeared - anyone want to take responsibility for the contents of this record?sligobhoy67 wrote:The question is - why is his nationality listed as Australian.
My guess would be he took out citizenship, but I'm not the expert on
Australia and you have already alienated the one who is, in previous
postings.

I read the link - however, I am not asking for a record to be changed I am asking why a record is as it is. My understanding of the Boxrec criteria for nationality is that if a boxer changes citizenship that doesnt warrant a change in nationality - can someone confirm.Blue wrote: My guess would be he took out citizenship, but I'm not the expert on

As for alienating editors - I'd love to know how I have alienated them - not one of them seems to be capable of a. answering a question or b. giving a consistant answer to the same question. if they are alienated by not wanting to justify their records then that is not exactly my problem.

my issue with this first was tweaked by the "John Duddy issue" - some of the details of which are outlined in this article - http://www.bernarddunne.net/johnshep.php - but then I noticed how many boxers had the nationality criteria applied to them differently - all I am saying is that ALL boxers should have the SAME criteria applied to them in the SAME way across the board. Thats not an unreasonable request I thinkJCS wrote:Good god sligo, what is your agenda anyhow? Do you work for Interpol and are trying to keep tabs on the passports of boxers?

Fair enough, that is all I was looking for - are you happy to apply that criteria across the board to all boxers?Blue wrote: The criteria for nationality is if a boxer establishes residence 10 years and changes citizenship, see;

Re: Lovemore N'dou
Since you're showing expertise in nationality, can you tell me mine?
My parents were Slovenian, but I was born in Croatia (Zagreb) - both at the time was Yugoslavia.
I resided in Slovenia 'til age of 12 & moved to Australia, where I've been since 1961 and am naturally Naturalized Aussie.
So, am I Slovenian, Croat, Yugoslav or Aussie??
I'll have a Mars Bar for ya if ya come up with a reasonable answer. :P

I asked a question - the question was "why is his nationality listed as Australian." - its pretty straight forward I thought.
It just seems that editors of Boxrec are not willing to answer questions about their records.
No wonder the ABC told ye ta get ta feck!
Re: Lovemore N'dou
You didn't answer my question....but a nice Aussie bloke that I am, here is a Mars Bar for ya anyway.
