Someone said that hatton should 'Make it Rain' in the pub!

:D

( for those of you who do not know, making it 'rain' means throw your money up in the air and letting it rain down on people!)

According to them, they didn't receive a formal offer, where as they put forward offers of 300k and 400k, which Khan presumably did not accept?

I'm not for one minute saying it's not being milked. But Thaxton is now fighting for the European title. Khan is fighting a 1/33 shot. Khan's fight may be better business, but in terms of who commands the greater respecy right now, I'd suggest it's Thaxton.

The only reason Kristjansen is a 1/33 (thats rediculous odds by the way) is because of reputation Khan in acquiring in the UK.

That is crazy odds.... I don't think Kristjansen should be a 1/33 shot against Casamayor.

The man did lose quite narrowly in a EBU title challenge... just didn't get out of the blocks - but after a few rounds was competing with Zoff on an even keel pretty much.

Thaxton was given offers of £80k, £100k, £125k to himself via Neil Featherby and John Ingle. Those are the facts and whilst Mick Hennessy can say he didn't receive written offers, and he is right, the fact is offers were made verbally and were declined each time by Thaxton. Hennessy was the sticking point according to Thaxton himself as he wanted to take £25k from him if he fought for Warren. Thaxton would have taken £100k hence the £125k to cover Hennessy. He got what he asked for £100k plus Hennessy squared away and then, to avoid actually doing it, he then asked for andother £25k. The offer was withdrawn and his big payday went away.

If he wins the European title to add to his British he will NEVER ge that offer repeated.

Witter's not doing enough to make the fight. He should age five years, shrink a couple of inches and lose half a stone.

No options, a one-off winner takes all that was made perfectly clear. And for the record Spud, verbal offers don't have small print!

Thanks for the info. What of the claims they later made an offer of 400k?
