It's a solid list for a fan who is a bit new to the sport or for one who follows British boxing rather than international boxing. Solid names who easily make an argument for anyone's top 10 list include Robinson, Hagler, and LaMotta. Benn, McCallum, and Lockett are all solid fighters, but there are a few names I could think off the top of my head who would be a nightmare for them. Greb, Monzon, Burley, and even Hopkins in my humble opinion are missing from this list. (To be honest though I only know Burley and Greb from what i've read, but i've read enough to believe it.) Another tip, generally when making a list it is either, an all-time list or an active fighters list. On your list there are two fighters who may or may not end up being in the top 20 middleweights of all time, Pavlik and Abraham. Overall, it's a fan's list not quite an accurate one, but we all start somewhere.

No problem, never a wasted breath when there's a listening ear. My advice is if you find boxing really interests you, investing in buying a few tapes wouldn't be a bad idea.

Not sure where to go with this. If you are truly wanting to learn the history, you'll need to do some reading, about the champs, their eras/top contenders, depth of divisions at a particular time etc. From the reading, you can go to the films (I would read first so you know exactly what you're looking at) The Middleweights have a DEEP history, it may take awhile.

Until then, it'd be best to refrain from making top 10 "all-time" lists if you really lack in-depth knowledge of the history. I know some basic baseball history for example, but I would be out of my league making a top 10 list of the best catchers ever. Not trying to sound condescending, just learn all you can

its not a very good site,, I have been there. there are many trolls there who attack newbies in their groups of three and the moderator is a cowardly son of a bitch who isnt worth a shit because he doesnt so much as warn them. He also allies himself with them since they go way back. There are some good posters there I will be honest but with the trolling that goes on there it just isnt worth all the aggravation.

Also, there are many older posters who dont have open minds-they dont acknowledge Roy Jones as a great and openly have said that he is inferior to the likes of BIlly Conn. in my opinion, the younger posters here or at Eastside are more knowlegable than what you see at Cyberboxingzone.

Trust me, you arent missing anything.

By the way, everyone here likes your top ten list of middleweights. It is impressive.

That's fine. He can go there to see what other people have to say but I'm just telling him ahead of time that there are definite trouble makers there who go out of their way to give the newbies a hard time and if they dont agree with what you have to say then this person will start making inuendos, snide remarks which sparks the entry of his friend, every bit as obnoxious and arrogant.

These two were at another site I won't mention which but were eventually kicked off. I remember when one of these two jerkoffs brazenly told another poster to "kiss his ass" to which I saw the rebuttal "I dont want to kiss your ass. It's smelly and full of chunks of shit"

But these two numbskulls never learn and why? Because not only are they evil, but stupid. They enjoy cyber bullying and DON'T expect the worthless moderator to do anything about it.
